It's not Medjugorie. It's Mother of God of Częstochowa, from the Jasna Góra Monastery of Pauline Order, in Poland. It's the most famous icon, greatly revered since at least XIVth century, visited since centuries every year by thousands of pilgrims. Also by many foreign pilgrims, seven times by Popes. It's the most important religious sanctuary in Poland. Read also my other comment about this place higher.

Mother of God of Częstochowa, called also The Black Madonna of Częstochowa (because of the color of the painting), is the most famous icon, very widely venerated since centuries in Poland. Since at least XIVth century the icon is revered in the Jasna Góra (Luminous Mount, in Latin: Clara Mons) Monastery of the Pauline Order. The monastery was founded in 1382, but the painting is much, much older. This monastery is the most important, religious sanctuary in Poland. Everyday, for all these centuries, in the chapel where there's the Holy Icon (The Chapel of the Miraculous Image of Mother of God), there are numerous pilgrims. It's the real heart of Poland. Traditionally, every year in the summer, especially in August, thousands of pilgrims go by foot, even hundred kilometres, in group pilgrimages to visit the Mother of God of Częstochowa. Also a lot of foreigners, from all over the world, visit this place. It was visited by Popes seven times. It's also very important cultural heritage and historical place. The most famous is defence of Częstochowa in 1655, during the war with Sweden that invaded whole Poland (it's called "Swedish Deluge"). This defence was the turning point of the whole war, and Polish people believe it was due to special help and protection of Mother of God. Mother of God is called "The Queen of Poland". The Jasna Góra Monastery is a very unique, special place. And also every day, at 9 p.m., there's a traditional praying of people in the Chapel of the Icon, that since years is transmitted in some of the TV and radio channels (so all people that want, can join to this praying, in the whole country) - this praying is called "The Call of Jasna Góra" (Apel Jasnogórski).

In fact nothing happened at Medjugorie other than they met Vicka and later she said the girl was an Angel which patently is not true we don't leave this and become angels ...Notwithstanding this is a beautiful video showing how God is close to those who suffer

It's not sanctioned by the church. It's in fact full of trickery for love of money, medgie is a fake apparition site.
