I've asked this question many times and receive no answer.... why is the church honoring Mel Gibson right now is living in sin with a woman Who Bore him a child??? He was an honored guest on a Divine Mercy EWTN show and it made me sick to my stomach! So now the church honors men who are living in sin???? Miami seventy-five-year-old Catholic woman and I am very disturbed and very saddened by the actions of our once Holy Catholic Church!!!

How Can I Get In Touch With This Priest?

A side comment, we need to pray with love (or heart), yes, but let's not forget, for Catholics, love is not an emotion. It can be associated with it, it's beautiful when God sends us also beautiful emotions to go with it, but love is an act of the will, a choice. We freely choose to pray to God because we choose to love him, we don't necessarily feel like it and that's all fine. In a way even finer, because God rewards our struggle. Even our Catechism (#2725) tells us that prayer is a battle. We do not expect battles to be easy or consoling. We expect them to be difficult.
