Always hate losing any!! Doesn't matter how, it sucks!! You've definitely gotten more than enough snow this year! On the flip side of that, you should have plenty of grass and good crops. Do what you gotta do to keep them safe and alive..

My grandpa used to have a little pen where the calves went to eat there ground feed. I could go up above and look down on it. One day when I did I saw a cow in there and ran to tell grandpa. I was still afraid of the cows then and didn’t know what to do. I went back up above and he went in after the cow. She got through the opening we had small enough for only calves to go in. We don’t have the cattle anymore got out of it about 10 years ago.

I'm confident this is the last snowstorm for the winter.... still might get some flakes here and there but got that feeling it might go straight into summer temps before too long. What year was it... 2018 or something like that where it hit over 90 degrees in May??? Absolutely baked the ground. Definitely getting a snowblower for the Bobcat next year... hopefully you can knab yourself a sno pusher for your payloader to make some cleanup quicker after busting through the big drifts.

Why in the world would you calve in snow & mud!?! We calve in may/june & september/october green grass or brown grass. Snow on top of mud is hell on earth.
