Come with us for a day in the life living in a small city in Eastern Thailand!
We're living in Thailand for the month and having a little break from travelling so we thought we'd show you what it's like here, where we're staying, how much we spend etc etc.
Most of our days go like this, working all day and eating far too much delicious Thai food.

Hey!!! I remember this church , you came here before on the 1st Thailand trip :) A perfect slow life (if no deadline for editing vdo).My friends you absolutely know everything in Thai ppl routine. Someday for culture exchange , If you go back to England and not too bother you. plz make a vdo of Ellis&Alicia routine before this long journey. I bet this is number1 rating that many ppl want to watch. Bua loy (in coconut juice) is various flour mix with vegetables for each color like gray is mixed with mashed taro orange boiled carrot green from pandan leaf extract blue from butterfly pea flower juice yellow is mixed with mashed pumpkin Bua loy in ginger soup is stuffed with black sesame

I have ever been to Janthaburi province 10 years ago.I think Janthaburi is peaceful place.There are clean bleach , fresh air and deli cious seafood. Nice local culture.

8:51 This is a pickled jellyfish, use to be an ingredient of Yen Ta Fo (Pink Noodle). The pickle jellyfish in this clip, I think it use for a menu the sweet peanut chili dip (Maeng-ka-pun (Jellyfish) Chim/Jim (dip) Nam-Prik-Tua-Taat (sweet peanut chili dip). The Khao-Man-Kai menu in Chanthaburi is unique recipe, it is only one province added sweet chili paste in a dish.

Jok is another form of congee. Jok is more savory and rice is intact in broth, not mushy. Congee is cooked in more water ratio and longer until the rice is broken down and mushy and taste bland. But you add ingredients to it to eat like minced pork and ginger with green onions. I prefer jok. It's the Thai version of chicken soup when its cold or feeling under the weather.

That’s mostly what I have for breakfast in thai hotels when it’s on offer , I never ever eat their attempt at western breakfast with the warm water plastic ham and recycled chicken gut sausage plus a cold fried egg 🤮

We have that fried thingy in Malaysia too, we call it Cakoi. But it's usually a dessert/tea time snacks because our dip is usually pandan kaya custard. Cheers 🎉

I pissed myself on the vid before the train vid, when you saw all the puppies out in the middle of nowhere and told the fighting dogs to "fkn pack it in!" In the old days, 26" bicycles were the norm. For the last 3 decades, 24" bicycles costing around 2000-3000 baht take over. It is as durable as the old-style 26" bikes, but costs about half price due to mass purchase from China. In fact, 50-60 years ago, only a middle-income family could afford to buy 26" bike. The lower income family could only walk to work or board a bus. Imagine the bus fare about 0.50 baht 60 years ago but the 26" bike cost 3000 baht. The starting salary for Bachelor graduate being a civil servant was about 1000 baht 60 years ago.

It’s good ( and rare ) to hear your correct pronunciation of Trat ,, I found when I was there saying it the natural English way the Thais cannot hear what your saying 👍 My misses likes your thai language skills in the food ordering dept , it’s much better than an American I’ve seen on here chundering out well rehearsed phrases then laughing like a clown pretending he understands the replies 😂 when in reality he’s no idea what they are saying . I can get by in our local issan village with a mix of Thai , Lao but tbh my thai is crap but I would never try and kid anyone else any different 🙏

21:29 That's my girlfriends exact reaction when I've cleaned the dishes. 😆 Some proper looking meals you had. Chanthaburi is one of the provinces I'd really like to see in Thailand. I'm starting to learn Thai and can catch some words here and there from you. It would be nice to have the Thai language translated to English but if this has to be done manually then I understand why they haven't been added due to the amount of time it'll take. By the way, where did you learn Thai?

Maybe if I upload less and relax more I can start doing it I'll try in future. For learning Thai I've never studied just spoke to people on the streets and always ask people things or to teach us words etc, slowly learnt vocabulary over time

thats like 460€ a month thats like a luxury apartment price in BkK. I used to pay 8.000bht per month for a similar place in BKK. So I payed 200€ a month. Your place is more than twice the price ..thats really expensive

This is a short stay hotel not an apartment in Bangkok. I'd pay more anywhere to be out of a dirty busy city! Course there's dirt cheap 100 dollar rents in Bangkok but we've no interest in that place :) Maybe you can rent a room here for less but it's a normal town so we don't have time to spend weeks looking for somewhere.
