Exactly 😄 Whenever he takes an item he's not supposed to have, he gets a treat and attention. At least it's not something destructive.

I'm not a dog trainer, but I'm *pretty sure* giving the dog treats OR handing him a new toy (she calls it 'misdirection') is IN FACT reinforcing behavior. Probably why the behavior hasn't stopped.

I'm a dog trainer and you're absolutely correct! She has conditioned him to do this. It's harmless, but this dog is very intelligent and has drive. She could do many activities with him to satisfy his drive.

Thing is... why stop it. Use it. The dog is showing a natural talent for retrieval/carrying. Utilize it. Give him a role in the family where he can carry things from one person to the other, objects around the house to help clean up, etc. Dogs love having a purpose, especially if it pleases their people and gets them rewards.

Tyson is just being playful. At least he's not chewing and destroying the item's. To me, that's not bad behavior. All I see is a beautiful happy dog as well for Champ his brother 💙🥰🤩

I think it depends on whether the owner considers it playful or disruptive. I can imagine a dog constantly rearranging my stuff becoming annoying fairly quickly. If the woman were complaining about the behavior (or if we got more of an indication that the husband was especially irritated by it, which I don't think we did), then I'd say it's the owners' jobs to correct that behavior. But they aren't complaining, and if they're happy with Tyson's playfulness, then absolutely I agree with you --- it's not as if it's _inherently_ bad behavior, like destroying stuff would be.

Yeah I feel like dogs kinda are what they are. Although I guess there’s something beautiful about dogs that get trained because they protect you. I’ve noticed trained dogs seem to know it and seem kind of pleased with themselves. My neighbor has a cow dog.

I just believe after the first day of being home and being part of the Family, You need to give them so much training to learn what's right and what's wrong if You see it that way. No matter what they do, it's so cute. Then You love them later for it😂💙😃

🤣I thought that my dog was the only one who does stuff like that. When he gets excited, because friends come over or something like that my bed pillow is the first "Victim" But once, in one of the first times he didi it, I found all my bed linen in the corridor. Pillow, sheets, cover, blanket. Everything. Now I know that if I don't shut my bedroom door when he gets all happy and excited, he's going to "rearrange" my bed. And it never fails

I have a Husky x German Shepard. He’s always lining his toys up or his bones get lined up. If he had more things he would move them around and line them up somewhere. He’s like a collector.

How cute. They have their own personalities. It's just him ❤. Doesn't have to be a lack of training, he's just expressing himself. I know a lot of humans way older who could use training. IJS for all those "experts" out there 😂

He is definitely part Golden Retriever. Golden Retrievers love to carry stuff through the house and they also have a soft mouth (they are very gentle when carrying it - it's as if they are carrying the duck back to the hunter). My Golden Retriever does this all day and it's the cutest thing ever.

It seems dogs are very relaxed when people are talking. They enjoy lying down in the midst of that. Looks like it's almost a type of ASMR to them. Perhaps it about sound frequency or a pack thing.
