My grandfather came to America in 1903 from Sicily. He was a cobbler. Loved visiting with him in his shop in Brooklyn NY. Watching your channel brings back fond memories and I can almost smell the leather and oils. Thanks Dan.

All of them masterpieces. After given free hands with the estetics of the soles and a opportunity to show what you can do out of the ordinary, it must have been a great moment handing them over and watching the customers reaction.

The John Lobs are my favourite, incredible how smooth it looks especially after the blind stitching, you can't even tell that you cut underneath the soles. I guess there is a reason why JR soles are expensive, you get your money worth. Also really like the cross pattern. Incredible work all around, 👍👌

Nice job again love watching skilled people do a great job. Hidden stitches one slip and the sole is done so meticulous cutting with concentration, must have taken some learning. You are a fantastic teacher, any apprentice would be lucky to work with you.

Wax polish, water, pure elbow grease and patience! Definitely the tried and true method of shining your shoes and boots. I can attest to that through a few years shining in the Cadets here in Canada. Each pair tells its own story!

The John Lobbs are still my favorite because of the outstanding job on the soles. You are a genius man I’ve never seen anything like this all my lifetime in the shoe repair business I usually buy new shoes once the ones I have start to wear or tear but you make me change my mind especially good shoes are not cheap to throw away.

It's always good to watch a skilled craftsman at his work, whatever it is. I like really good quality shoes. I'm very traditional and mine last for years before they're repaired. That toe shine took me back, my dad is ex military, and he had us (me and 5 brothers!) shine our shoes every Sunday night, we didn't use cold water though lol...no none of that modern stuff, we used spit, and he would make us sit there and buff until the toes shone like a mirror. He always said, you can tell a lot about a person by their shoes, doesn't matter if they're cheap, as long as they're as shiny as you can get them and good presentation is what matters. He's nearing 80 now and wears trainers, don't think for one minute that I let that go lol I love watching your work, as for the soles, I'm a big fan of the red! But they are all lovely.
