@@zawtun4864 Usually balloons are manufactured from plastic or synthetic rubber (elastomer or thermoplastic). It is true that some balloon manufacturers make their products out of biodegradable natural rubber from rubber trees, but this is still a minority.

Doesn't matter. 98% of the plastic waste in the ocean comes from China, India and southeast Asia. Even if western societies had zero plastic waste it wouldn't effect the plastic waste in the ocean at all. It wouldn't even make a dent.
