As a Hollow Knight fan of six and a half years, let me just say hearing Grian attempt NKG while playing phasmo has been a surreal experience

Hollow Knight is one of my favourite games ever, so hearing Grian talk about it is fantastic. Also if anyone reading this comment is also struggling with Nightmare King Grimm in Hollow Knight, I've gotten 112% and can beat NKG consistently. Don't go for every possible hit like Grian says around 43:10; eventually you may be able to get a hit in with almost every attack but some are way easier than others. Instead just take a few attempts of only dodging in order to learn the attacks. Once you can identify and dodge attacks you'll start to see where you can get hits in. Don't be greedy, hit once and dodge. It takes practice but it feels super satisfying when you finally win!

I think that you should get speed/endurance upgrades for prestiging. Nothing too major maybe 2% per teir of speed and endurance. That would make the larger maps playable for more experienced players and just not a slog fest of pain.

On Hollow Knight: Wels streamed it a couple years ago iirc, and it's a pretty long game, but fun to watch long-form or short form. HOWEVER. For your first playthrough, many people recommend playing for yourself, not an audience. It's a story game, and a puzzle game, and a pve game.

When I heard the boss music through groans mic I instantly knew who Grian was fighting and let me tell you it took me a good few attempts to fight Grimm, still haven't bet Nightmare Grimm yet but that will be my best and favorite boss music outta the whole hollow knight game!

quick note about the DMX connection on your new thing: it may use USB-C but it’s a connecter that uses 5 pin XLR(Most DMX uses 3 pin) so be careful about that when ordering cable and USB to DMX.

At 58:50, because it threw the book, it means that ghost writing is either not a correct evidence or it is hidden. I thought that this was the same for the ghost knocking the video camera over when it’s on a tripod and orbs being hidden or not evidence. But I recently played a 3 evidence game with a friend where it knocked the camera and tripod over so I said no orbs, and the ghost ended up being a ghost with orbs. Can someone explain this properly to me? Btw love your vids impulse!

impulse probs wont see this but i worked as an AV tech for 6 years and did lighting and sound for some big artist at concerts, from what you have said it sounds like you will need a lighting controller. depending on the type of light you might be able to get away with just DMX to Pc via a DMX USB interface. then you should be able to marry your heart rate monitor into the lighting system as detection device(similar way to how sound activated speakers are done).

Now i want to watch old phasmo streams😮
