I think She must let her husband choose the baby boy name. Specially if they are gonna live in korea and not in Senegal. I dont recommend to impose a terribile senegalese name to him.

⁠⁠@@dudaresende955 idk if you’ve been watching her channel but they BOTH choose a name (just like Fanta, chosen by Aicha, and Rian which was chosen by Jungu) so BOTH parents can have input w/o conflict. And stop calling ethnic names terrible, it reeks of self hate and is actually very rude towards people who actually do have those names. For example Hassan is ethnic but the way it’ll be written in Korean which is 아산 (Asan) which is actually a city in Korea. I understand that you are worried for bullying which is completely valid but if kids want to bully someone they’ll find a reason. Other half Koreans who had it hard such as Yoon Mirae, Han Hyun Min and more all had ethnic Korean names and were still bullied simply bc they were mixed.

Yeah, I also liked those two a lot. Hassan Oreum and Hassan Ian sound really nice. If they go with the second, it can even rhyme with Fanta's name.

Actually Zayn is also a nice name. Kim Zayn sounds really good. It’s a boy's name of Arabic origin. It is a variation of Zain, which means "beauty" or "grace."

Also the way it’ll be written in Korean if I’m correct is 재인 sp when it’s romanised completely it’s Jae-In which actually resembles a Korean name so you’ll kill two birds with one stone 😌

Zany isn’t of arabic origin.. it IS arabic. 100%. It wasn’t modified in any way. Arabs use Zain as a word to describe things AND as their children’s names. It is 100% Arabic.

My husband and I were the same .our second child was a boy also and like you we had a list but couldn’t decide a family friend told us to wait till he’s born and when you see him it will come to you and that’s what we did. Hope you enjoy all the moments with your baby boy. If he’s half as gorgeous as beautiful Fanta,wow

Similar for my husband and I. Except we had already had 2 sons, 1 daughter, and our last child was also a son. So 3 boys and 1 girl. But with our last child we could not choose a name. It was never difficult with our first 3, but it was for our last. When we were asked after delivery what his name would be, we could not decide. The nurse said, "Give it a day, enjoy our baby, and it will naturally come to us. And that's exactly what happened. The name we chose fits him perfectly. His name means "peace." And I can not describe the peace and tranquility that came over the room the instant he was born, the room became really bright with a soft golden light and the environment around us became very peaceful and quiet. Even the nurses and doctor kept talking to us about that and how that had never happened before. So when we checked the meaning of the name that had come to us, we knew it truly was meant to be his name.

Compromise is great! Right after I gave birth my husband was asked what to name our son, well I jumped right out of that bed when I heard him say he wanted to name him Elvis! That didn't happen 😂

Kim Assane (Asan) Oreum keeps ringing in my head. Seems perfect. Hubby seems to like “Eu” sound for the boys name and since it’s his dream name, I say go ahead and make it come true ❤

I couldn’t agree more. While agreeing together is important, the naming of a child by a father especially a son who will carry on his last linage is very significant. So if your husband has a childhood name he has reserved for his son please don’t reason that name away.

I'm learning Korean....so yes....their pronunciation can be difficult because they go by syllable. But i love the names. Here's my thoughts: 1st choice: Bara Ian (or Ayan)...short simple and cute :) 2nd choice: Assane Eunwoo (and YES Cha Eunwoo is VERY Handsome!) But of course it will be up to all 3 of you, but i found the above to sounds good together. Very excited for the new baby! Sending love to you and your family!

I think Kim Uju sounded the best together out of all the names. It flows together well. You could also use the first letter of Kim and the first letter of Uju and call him Ku as a nickname.

It’s dit funny when she speaks about Senegalese names that are translated in Arabic and how they are pronounced in French haha! You are also Italian, so think about maybe choosing a Pulaar and Korean name that sound’s Italian, like your daughter’s name Fanta Rian? People do ask a lot about: what does your name mean, and also people can be mean about names, so can your son live peacefully with his names? As for me, my father is American, so first name is Sue, which means lily, I got a Korean 2nd name---it means sweet& kind, first and second name are said together, or they just same my first name. Then I have a middle name, which is my mother’s maiden name, then I have my father’s last name. So you can say have 3 names, or 4 names.

Aisha you are positively glowing. It took me 2 months and 3 months respectively to settle on my children's names. I love many of the options. I love names that have cultural meaning. I like seydou and I think you can make it seh-dou by not stressing on the y sound. because korean has the "he" sound you can "cheat" it a bit to get seydou to work as 2 syllabes. Aisha you are positively glowing. It took me 2 months and 3 months respectively to settle on my children's names.

Eun-woo, Oreum and Alassane. Pular names sounds more authentic than Arabic since in Arabic Hassan is not unique but a typical everyone’s name.
