Күн бұрынMy first proper drive in the brand new Audi RS3 Saloon that's joined the garage as @TheShmuseum team car! We're in the mountains in Italy with the 400hp Turbo Blue Shmeemobile to check it out in detail and find out all about it.
The new 3rd generation Audi RS3 model is going to be in the fleet for 6 months as a long term loan and being run as our official team car. Tom, Brad and others will be behind the wheel of the 400hp hot Audi for all sorts of outings and to give full feedback on what it's like over the coming months. The 2.5l turbo 5-cylinder engine combines with the S-tronic dual clutch and clever new RS modes interacting with the Quattro system to offer more dynamic driving than ever with an appealing soundtrack too.
We picked up the car from Audi in Munich, Germany a few days ago and then drove through to Italy and some amazing roads to really push it through the paces. It's an Audi UK fleet car hence the UK number plates and feedback can now be shared on driving impressions after an embargo while test drives were underway. Long story short, we couldn't be happier with the choice and hope you will enjoy more of the journey on @TheShmuseum channel: / theshmuseum

Lovely little car, but a few people I’ve spoken to disagree that they should revert back to the light-coloured grille surround of the previous RS3. I thought this black grille on the new RS3 and all the latest sporty Audis, looked f***ing ugly. Is it just me or there some beauty that I’m not seeing but everyone else is?

I always enjoy the "Smallest Sports Car" of every brand because they give you the essence of the brand while being small, agile and usable on the road! I believe small sports cars is where it's at! 💕

Ever since I heard the 80's Quattro I've loved the 5 cylinder noise. You have to get an upgrade to enhance that sound man !!!

The RS3 is such a nice staple in Audi's lineup. Fun little fast car with a sporty design and practicality. Also decently priced compared to the higher end models.

The car is gorgeous, I love it, but I’m not a big fan of black wheels, a standard silver wheels I think it would look better, that’s why I LOVE the SLS, the silver wheels looks PERFECT.

Glad you mention the turbo lag. Great sounding engine but very laggy.I had the last model and it was frustrating to live with...

I love the car but I’m disappointed that you can see the exterior paint on the inside of the window frames. Makes it seem like a cheaper car… I don’t know if all newer audis are like that, but even my 2005 Audi S4 has black inner frames🤷♂️

Hi, Ashton! 🙂 I think the exposed paint is a subtle attempt to impart a subliminal 'stripped-out racer' feel to the car. It doesn't work; it's far too plush to be mistaken for anything but a comfy toy, crammed with excess weight and gadgets and electric techno-gubbins for those who demand their "Don't you know who I am!" luxuries. (I noticed that Tim was a mite miffed when he took delivery in an earlier video that the car doesn't have an auto-close boot lid.) Alas, a bit of bare paint on show is the nearest you'll get to a proper rough-as-a-badger's-nadgers Group-B Quattro these days. (She yields a nostalgic sigh...)

So now you’ve got 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 cylinders covered.. so.. V12 seems needed.. maybe a permanent 5 cylinder if this ends up being as good as it should be?

and zero cylinders..... the taycan.... took me a minute to figure out which was the 3 cylinder as my mind was defaulting to the clio and i knew that was 4.... then i remebered the wee yaris GR.

What a great choice lovely car lovely colour and you’ve got the saloon which is my favourite don’t you dare wrap it 🙁 it will probably be a bit faster at low altitude do you think Tim are you quite that high?It’s pretty damn premium if you ask me £60,000 hatchback I know it’s a saloon but you get the drift bit of a dream car for me Tim I know what you mean though Tim it’s basically a van isn’t it but it will do the job it’s something you won’t have to clean or put a cover over if it gets scrapes and knocks it’s just the daily is it not piece of shit really 🤣🤚

Technically the M3 could, although I can't insure Brad on it because it's personally owned whereas he can drive this as a loan car. I've honestly not jelled as well with the M3 as I expected, so I don't know what the future for it will be. With regards to the UK sticker, that's on from Audi for the press launch but will be coming off now.

In my opinion that steering wheel looks like a base model A3, YOU NEED ALCANTARA in a RS model smh... I think it is not even a factrory option anymore.... that´s cheap
