We put a table by outdoor shower and basin and use it to wash big items like airfryer or big pots.

Watching your walk through great looking van, one thing you may have trouble with is the spares blocking the tail lights. Don’t quote me I’m sure you have to be able to see the lights from a 45 degree angle.

Even though you have lights at the top of the van, It wouldn't take away the need of the lower lights to have no obstruction, I am interested to hear how Urban got around the fact that the lower lights that MUST be fitted no more than 1500 mm from the ground are still partially obstructed by the spare wheels and then allowed to be registered....Bloody nice van, nice and open plan, excellent size for two people.

Looks great guys, i was particularly happy to see in interior colours and selections as we have basically ordered the same in our new van we pick up in a couple of weeks, especially the darker timber tops, we went with them instead off the widely chosen lighter timber. Good stuff!

The van is a beauty i love it almost as much as you two. We have a simple 12v system as well 300 Amp hr Lithium dont run solar at all as we last 7 day with water then head to a Van park and charge batteries do laundry get food then hit the road next day works great for us

Hi Guys, the Urban looks well thought out, a well-built package, a very practical size, and weight for the tighter more challenging tracks. Yeah, I don't know if I am totally sold on the composting dunny, but it will be great to see how it goes for you both... Yeah, sitting is not might be my favourite method of operation, but see how you go using it. Sandgropers with reportedly over sized tackle might struggle.😁 With the Weber Q, there is a problem with gas compliance if connected to bayonet fitting on the van as the Q doesn't have a flame failure device fitted, e.g., Flame blows out gas keeps flowing ,I believe Weber selling a Q with flame failure sometime in 2023 silly part about the regulations it is legal to operate from a gas bottle. I fitted a FFD to my Weber it can be done. I am looking forward to your 2023 travels.

Love your videos and this one too. I also had the BabyQ Weber but was recently told that if you plug it into your bayonet fitting, you are no longer insured as it doesn't have the flame cut out device. apparently the only the Bbq in Australia that is insurance approved with plugging into the bayonet is the sizzler brand

Congratulations on the new caravan, it is absolutely awesome! The walk around bed, huge counters, and fantastic storage, with lots of big windows, it’s everything a couples van should be, and under twenty feet. You look to have made all the good choices in getting that built out. It seems very open and relaxing. Is there a US version of this available?

Thanks legend! They are wicked vans!! Urban had a very similar one there, We don’t plan on doing many shows we normally turn down the offers!, we are just normal people and aren’t famous like a lot of KZfaqrs are so we prefer to bush camp and beach camp around australia than go to shows!!

Keeling / Sarah awesome van , well done. Keeling I am really concerned on your 35 amp charger ( re heat generation ) - you have 600 amp battery system which is great but when you are in winter conditions and you have very little input from solar I am concerned you will overtax your 35 amp AC charger. I have been a electrician for over 30 years, I hope you have a thermal cut off on your charger, be aware that if they are running at 100% all the time you will get internal breakdown which will result in voltage spike issues. Please don’t think for a minute I am bagging you out my friend, just passing on some long term experience. Your van is incredible well laid out and well planned out. I cannot wait for your new adventure to begin.

One thing to be aware of is you may not be insured if you connect your webber bbq to your vans gas outlet. The webber is missing a saftey feature which is why most insurance companies are not insuring you if you bbq burns down your van. Standalone gas bottle is fine however.

We have same cupboard handles and find them not great. Often stick and one broke already and we only go away short breaks lol so next vanwe re opting for different ones

Nice looking van guys! Some good decisions. I'm not a big fan of the composting dunny (comes down to each individual I know) and I love my continuous hot water which is a step up from the normal tank system, but it looks really good and nice little compact van for 2 people. Well done and enjoy. Also Eco mode is not a kill switch. The isolator switch is under the bed (black switch). It only isolates some of the BMPro connectors. For example it won't turn off the Odyssey and it won't turn off the fridge. It's mainly used for turning off water pumps. We don't use it anymore and just turn off the water pump icon on the screen when travelling or when at home as that's easier. We also always leave the lights on the Odyssey...no point in turning them off ever so Eco mode doesn't really offer much. Also I mentioned in a comment below, your Weber is not legal unfortunately. If it's on a slideout tray, even if it's connected to a gas bottle and not bayonet, it's still illegal. It has to be completely removed and put on a separate table. Silly rule but that's what it is. I've had a Weber Q, Ziggy and sizzler deluxe. Swap for the sizzler deluxe marine if you can, it's 50 times better than the Weber, trust me! And fully compliant with flame safe as well

Hi Keelan, Sarah. Watched presentation of van, you're keeping me envious, good luck to you both. Love the concept of keeping the 12v simple. Now seriously, I am truly envious of 600amps, compared to my single 120X Itech, but not running A/C just the simple 240 coffee m/c, toaster, toothbrushs etc. One thing I'll offer you to consider. Water hoses stored coiled up are a pain when required, just loop and become trip hazard. Run full chassis length PVC 35mm tubes inside of chassis rails, secured to chassis. Blank off at rear of van, mould (with heat gun) a slight upwards bend at the front to stop water/sullage hoses from coming out in transit. Now cut hose to length, fit connector to each end and slide into tube/s. Now when you need hose, simply grab front end and rip it out, whalla, the hose lays flat on ground, need more length, grab another and click together. You'll be amazed how people will stare in amazement when you pack up and the hose just keeps disappearing under your van. I have 3 X 6 metre lengths of both water/ sullage stored under mine, 18 metres is good. Oh, you just freed up storage of coiled hoses on the rear also. Keep me envious, love it. ♥️👍👏👏

Awesome set up guys! ... Well done! We would certainly look at Urban if they were prepared to do a toy hauler version, but they weren't very interested when we spoke to them last. In the interim, we chose to do an itech world 800ah retrofit on our existing van.... very cost-effective solution, but have a few warranty issues to resolve at the moment. Great looking van very nice 👌 only thing tho ? the gas bottles how do u get them out or back in when there full and heavy , the lid opens yep ok but do u climb up there to unlatch the cylinder clamps and lift the bottles out that's probably good for young wipper snappers like you guys , gee mine are just in the front boot with nothing in the way and it's still a bloody chore

I’ve learnt most of it in my 4 year apprenticeship and studying it, so it all depends on if you want a general understanding or if you want to study 12v / ELV extra low voltage specificity. If you don’t care about 240v AC and just want 12v dc knowledge then KZfaq is perfect way to learn!
