We had an amazing glass out day on our new favourite reef with an incredible whale encounter along the way !

Guys, I am up to 19.35 and have just seen the humpy footage, I had a very similar encounter between Seisia and Entrance Island, where we lived for two years, population 2, and I can totally know what you experienced as the humpy I had around the boat checked me out for half an hour and BLEW MY MIND. Two feet off the boat and rolled on its side to look at me, massive eyes, you have joined the "club of no return" with an experience like that.!! You will NEVER forget that one, welcome to the "Club". Absolutely awesome footage, I am so happy that you got that on film, but you will NEVER unsee what you experienced. LOVE your vids, Champions, WORLD CLASS.!!

Who needs a gym membership when you have a reef membership, absolutely AWESOME, AGAIN. You guys are legends on the reef. Just love watching your vids, crazy.!!

What an awesome Drop by you guys! Denim jean rippled water, encounter with an incredible creature in the Humpback, double hook up GTs, Pineapple Trout, more GTs n Coral Trout, Reds to envy over and some nice Nans, those fish tailing, and it just kept getting better from there! I would’ve been in with those Humpback’s in a flash, unique and so inquisitive creatures of the deep, very levelling, that moment when you hear them underwater, nothing compares! And Mary, your call “Ya got a wedgie!” after being so chilled watching the exchange with the humpback, cracked me up big time! What a call! Definitely given those Mavericks a good workout! 🎣 Froff level high 10’s/10. Love ya work guys!!

This certainly was a special session. Great fishing, pretty much bucket list stuff for anyone in glass-off conditions with incredible water clarity. The whale encounter reminded me of one I had off the coast of Oregon. Nice job on the photography end too. I keep on asking myself why I live next to Lake Michigan.

You guys are so blessed, the beauty of the ocean must truly move your innermost emotions to another plain in time and space. It’s like you are one with the ocean, the deep sea gives you what you ask for because you are kind to the deep sea.

Great video, hoping to get out to the reef off Mackay here soon as well. With jigging do you spot lock or drift? I haven't had any luck yet as they end up drifting right back before hitting the bottom.

Thank you. Umm both ! Casting up current & stay Spot locked until the lure is straight up and down under the boat and then start your drift.. try that option also🤷🏻‍♂️

Great Video, Awesome weather and fish. Just wondering what Mary's Saltist rod and reel set up is that she caught the red at sunset on? Also what pound braid?

Thank you ! The reel is a Lexa 400 spooled with 50lb J-Braid & the rod is a SALTIST Hyper SJB62-4 PE4. We run 100lb Saltiga Nylon Mono leader or the Nomad Panderra is also very good, hope this all helps 👌🏽
