A quick video run-through of our new wheels.
Please note, these are just prototypes, the wheels won’t be ready until late July!
If you’ve purchased a pre-order deposit, you are guaranteed one of these wheels when they are ready. I will email everyone who’s bought one with a link to pay the outstanding balance and choose their colour!
A few things I didn’t cover in the video…
The wheel is water resistant so can be wiped down with water safely, we will provide a cap to put into the USB-C port to keep clay out while throwing off the battery.
It can handle up to 1kg of clay, but obviously if you throw continuously with this amount it will wear the motors down quite fast! It is a mini wheel in the end and meant for mini pieces.
This also applies to trimming, you can throw pieces that are larger than the batt size so they will be harder to trim. I get around this by throwing a chuck and placing my piece on that.
With all new products, testing is vital to be sure that the product works as intended and with as little pain points as possible. We are currently testing these prototypes rigorously!
