So happy with Wyatt’s great prognosis. Thankfully he has this wonderful family to push and love him. ❤❤❤

When I 36 I was diagnosed with ruptured discs in the "L" section of my back and multiple discs in the "C". I was very strong and active from my youth and twenties. I had severe pain down my leg from deep in my hip from the time I was 16. Through many doctors and mistakes in diagnosis it took 20 years to get the right doctor. I was happy when the pain stopped and the numbness took over. I had two surgeries on my lower back and one on my neck. The spinal cord was compressed 90 percent and was not able to be released completely. All this being said, I am kind of an expert on back issues. Please give time to heal and make adjustments to protect your damaged back. Prayers to you and keep your strength❤

My grandmother was a quilter I have a storage unit of them . Have found no one in my family that wants them. Young people don’t seem to appreciate all the time and hard work that goes into it and it’s a gift to be able to do. Your garden looks beautiful. Looks like you will be having a yummy salad 🥗 soon. So glad Wyatt is off the meds hope he gives it time to heal . God has a plan for him . 🌸🙏🌸

Hi sweet one! I just hate car problems...UGH! I had to laugh with you picking grass out of your garden. I am OCD about weed picking in my small garden. That is a gorgeous quilt...what a thoughtful gift! I would not be able to get through talking about it without crying either!!! I will continue to pray for Wyatt. I know the senior year is so important to a child, but his healing from such an awful injury is much more important for his life going forward. You keep saying no to him Mama bear. The quilt "of love" sure is beautiful. Your neighbor is awesome for making that for you. Did she tell you what the pattern is called? I live in Florida & my mom made me a quilt that is called key west. Your peppers & tomatoes need a greenhouse. I have no problem with them but have issues with potatoes for some reason 🤔 I hope Wyatt gets better soon! Good thing he is young & athletic like you said. ❤

I ran 1600 meter relay in track at age 11 n i love it notice some issues with my knees was diagnosed with osteoarthritis at age 11 i was crushed could no longer run/ do the thing i loved i feel for him it is hard to swallow n looking back i know it was God i had to slow down if i didn’t i would probably already be in a wheel chair currently recovering from hip replacement i’m a lil over month out from surgery i have good days n bad n i want to do things n it stops me! tell him its Gods plan not ours all we can do is go with it n not fight back no matter how hard it is! praying for peace, strength, patience n a speedy recovery❤

As a person who's suffered a broken back I feel for Wyatt. He's only at the beginning of this healing journey and baby steps are my best advice. Allowing his body to heal slowly is very important. I'm 22yrs in and now I'm suffering with my back because I didn't take care of myself. Best wishes to to you, Wyatt and your family during this difficult time ❤❤❤❤❤

God did make us to heal ourselves--so happy for a good prognosis. It's my understanding that peppers like heat. You can build a tent to put over them. That quilt is gorgeous! She put a lot of love into it. What an heirloom! Good news about Wyatt's back. So glad Wyatt is doing better, it's been 2 1/2 years since my back surgery and I still have numbness in my left leg. Being young and healthy is a big plus. Prayers for his speedy recovery.

It sucks that wyatt had this happen on summer break esp after such a long hard winter! Hope he heals fast so he can move on with life.

My dad had the same injury to his back from a fall at work he had to lay flat on his back for 6 weeks then had a cast for a while , he was older than wyatt but made full recovery , he had some pain now from athritis but his intial injury was nearly 40 years ago !! Praying for Wyatt

I love yure house it’s so amazing and pretty looking. It’s wonderful looking you need to think about building a reseller and putting a bigger fence around your garden and building some raised beds in your garden for your potatoes and stuff and are used to live in as well Island on the logging camp, so I’m suggesting you need to put a bigger fence up around your garden or you’ll have loose trampoline down your fence to get to your garden and they will ruin your garden

That quilt is absolutely gorgeous. What a lovely gift.

Get some pure peppermint oil and apply it around your neck ,forehead,and wherever the skitters like to get you……I have a shirt and pants that I sprayed with bug spray and put that on only when outside. I wear my old winter boots because I’m always getting bit in the ankles or have something crawl up…. Wearing a hat with a net on helps with the flies and no see bugs. Garden looks nice 👍 Freeze dry your radish leafs and make into a powder to add spice to recipes…..great benefits from those leafs.

Please let others help you do things for awhile, I know you might be feeling better but that doesn’t mean you are healed, far from it, you will need a lot of down time for your body to heal properly without causing more damage, now be a good boy and maybe momma will bake you some more cookies lol! What a gorgeous quilt!

This was such a “good news” visit!! The most important point is that Wyatt has received God’s grace and is starting the healing phase of his accident. This all sounds so foreign to a momma’s ears, but from an old nurse’s opinion, things are going in the correct direction. The Lumbar spine (takes a life time of abuse, but that makes it a stronger part of the spine. Wyatt hasn’t lived that life time yet, but as an athlete he has strengthened that area like most have us haven’t achieved). Your skills are going to be tasked with keeping him at bay, activity wise. As he re-develops his L-1 area, being an active young man and part of a gang of friends, he will normally want to return to life as he knew it much sooner than he should. Plus no one wants to hear “stop, you can’t do that” no matter your age!! This advise is given in love and all good intentions from a mom who survived a similar situation with my son, whose story is nearly identical to Wyatt’s. Secondly your garden looks great. Just want you to know that the sound of freshness and the crunchiness of the plants reached me in Ohio!! I plan to add a fresh basil and spring greens salad to our dinner this evening. Your quilt is lovely and I am glad it is functional. As a quilter, I now put in a note that says says love this to pieces and if it starts to age, I’ll repair or replace! Trust me she thought of you with every step of the process of that quilt! She chose one of my favorite blocks…the windmill. I too love the Cuddle backing! I made a small quilt for each of our grands using the Cuddle . It is harder to fuss with than the usual cotton backing….this tells me she really likes you! This is getting wordy, but you know that is a trait of mine😊. Until we visit again… keep taking care of you and your brood! ❤Momma G

I’m a retired nurse who worked for many years with a neurosurgeon and did many spine surgeries for this type injury. Wyatt is young and an athlete, healing takes time, but I know it is emotional and stressful for him and your family. ❤ sending prayers and well wishes

Hi Jessica and sweet family! Fuel problems is a pain to trace down sometimes, I’m just glad you made it home safely. Aaron will fix your truck, he’s very mechanically inclined. Your garden looks so good and healthy. I just hope your growing season is long enough for you to have fresh tomatoes. How beautiful the quilt is. What a special gift and definitely a special friend that would take the time to make a special quilt. Every time you wrap it around you, it’s like getting a loving hug. I’m so happy to hear Wyatt is doing as good as he can. God made our bodies so perfectly to be able to heal itself. He just has to have patience and give it time to heal and that’s saying a lot to do with a teenager that’s usually very active. I hope you and your family have a blessed weekend!

Although I did not break my back, I do have a spinal cord tumor at the approximate spot as Wyatt's break. The spine is amazing. My thoughts, and prayers, are with Wyatt as he heals from this injury.
