@@lovevirtuegifts one of the women alone with others started a monthly mass to celebrate one priest in the diocese. I don’t know if it’s still going on because two of us moved and the others who started it may be too old or passed on. Father John Hampsch always encouraged us to pray big, and then pray bigger. How I miss him so.

Prophetic is the word that kept going through my mind, too. The worst part is that it is going to get so much worse! Upon reflection, it feels like this time is akin to training wheels, as if God is giving us time to work on our vices and shore up our virtues so that we spiritually survive the chastisement. God is so good to us! However, when we are fully in the midst of the chastisement there will be people who will blame God for the suffering and because God didn't give sufficient warning. Apparently, a book with Christ's actual words, 2000 years of written and oral Tradition, and the multitude of approved apparitions are just not sufficient warning. I know that I am dealing with two particular vices, they are sinful, yes; but, I do thank God that I am not dealing with addiction to pornography, drugs, or alcohol. I say special prayers to St. Kolbe, the prayers for addicts I ordered from the Shrine of Divine Mercy. I have a family member who has that issue and it has really opened my heart in a way that it had not been before. My particular vices should be easy to beat it into submission, but I have failed miserably thus far. I do think it has been a help to shift my focus from beating myself up every time I fall to my vices to focusing on building up their opposite virtue. I hope I will get at least partial credit for continuing to try, dad after day. This series was amazing, I have actually listened to it a couple of times. There is so much information I feel like I absorb something new every time I hear it. I love Fr. Ripperger, he makes what could be dry and complicated subjects easy to understand and fun to listen to when he shares personal stories and jokes. The combination keeps me engaged and I always learn something. God bless him! Three Hail Mary's for him.

I believe the white horse (the rider holding a rainbow) in revelations is the gay movement the world is going under and the black horse ( rider holding scales of justice ) has resulted from the George Floyd murder and The red horse is China with the covid virus. We are at the door right now. I also believe that God has been speaking to us all through the thousands of years through the Catholic Saints. And I know that Mary will be a huge part of the last days as She is the woman clothed in the Son (sun) and the moon at her feet in revelations.

I don’t think you understand what the sacraments ARE to Catholics.. we are aware that God is available 24/7.. the mass is a special place of the celebration of Christ’s life , death and resurrection.. and receiving communion which is one of the 7 sacraments from which we receive extra grace!! Catholicism IS based on and in scripture… “ Christ said to St Peter: I will build my church on this rock..”.., (scripture) the birth and establishment of Catholicism … as with communion and The Eucharist: Christ to his disciples at the Last Supper: Take this and drink for this is my body and this is my blood”… Because the Catholic Church requires much more than reading the Bible and having a relationship with God., there are many supplements to reading scripture.., the sacraments and the Rosary… Catholics do not criticise how others pray to God.. but it gets tiring listening to people pass judgement on Catholic beliefs! Over one year ago in my area I live in , our Catholic Churches offered 24 hour confession. I told my mom “ What’s going to happen that they are offering 24 hour confession?” I think we have the answer.

This was an argument I had with my Old prysbeterian pastor aswell othe Ego tistics of the Lutheran faith and These So called hard core Eucharist practioners .. I only had 4 Priest out of 40 who I called from various denominations and actually said to me while under certain conditions the communion can be practiced in your own time, as long it’s doesn’t take away the other practices ..and it should not be abused … Amen for that and definitely it can be allowed and people should take responsibility for their own souls at home ..

From Ireland.. I find consolation knowing that just because its won a majority of the electorate doesn't make it okay or even right. In the eyes of our Lord its still wrong..2+2=4 will never change.

MyImmaculateQueen....you can say that again, about a million times.....except the food Fr. R is giving us is so essential for our lives than the "cheap processed food" we get in so many fast food churches and other places. @@juliemountjoy418 sadly, no one cares. When I attend mass, I pray for the priest that is giving mass and other priests that I learned from, all of those who are attending mass with me to be hollier than me. That is the little that I can do.

Hey. I struggle with both porn and curiosity. I think curiosity is all over the place nowadays with the media and smartphones - it's a vice of our times. Curiosity is to be attached to knowledge that is not about our salvation or state of life. This is a helpful concept.

J Money I think keeping yourself informed is OK, like with news etc, so long as it's not excessive, and it's not in proper balance, like taking over area's of your life and wasting time, or interfering with prayer time!

J Money Curiosity is a sign of intelligence. Chewing tobacco is a sign that you're going to end up with dark brown teeth and maybe mouth cancer like I think my grandfather did. But he lived to 91 which wasn't too bad in 1968.
