After 4 months travelling in our new motorhome we've come to love some of the things we bought many months ago. Being new to motorhoming we didn't know what to buy and what might be a waste of money. We've shared our top 10 here with you: from a few pounds to a few hundred pounds, we've really found these items to be essentials.
We'd love to hear from you about your essential items as there's always room for a few more...although not with the way we cram things into our cupboards!

Hi Phil, thanks for your kind comment 😊 we put the list together from our experience rather than trying to commercialise things (we don’t have an Amazon shop etc). I was going to go for Safefill as I understand they just use the Calor pipe work so you can literally just buy a bottle and get going with it.

Not sure how Safefill, works. Does it have an external filler point, as I have heard some service stations won’t allow you to refill without external filler?? Thanks for watching the vlog, appreciate your engagement 👍

I was trying to see if you had the ceiling mounted reading lights. We changed ours in our caravan for ones with a USB socket. They are dead easy to change because they are the same dimensions but with a USB socket. Just a thought if you still won’t more sockets.

Wow Bob, we were literally just discussing our lack of usb’s again just now!!! Presume we just unscrew, then disconnect the current lights and replace with new ones with usb? Same two wires/block connections? Are you reading our minds?!! 🧐 be careful in there, it’s a dark place!!! Regards Andrew, Jane & Buddy 🐶

@@Eurosully Exactly unscrew old one same two wires about 10 minute job. The only problem you might encounter is the screw holes not quite lining up but use one hole and slightly move unit make a new hole. Old hole will be out of sight. Some of your ideas we already use in our van. After all the only difference between MH and caravan is your engine is on the inside, ours is on the outside 😂

Hi, it’s a OHREX 7 inch. Don’t have any more detail than that, sorry. Bought from Amazon, but no longer stocked, however you can go straight to the OHREX web site to purchase this and a few other variants. 👍

Hi Norberto, we bought it directly from EcoFlow, the manufacturer, but it’s widely available from all the usual online selling sites. It is the EcoFlow River, there is now a River 2 version. Thanks for watching 👍

It’s the smallest (cheapest!) of the power banks. At the time, 12 months ago, it was circa £250. It’s 268wh, the smallest and is very handy. Seen it recently on. “Prime day” offer for less than £200, so quite a bargain. In hindsight we probably should have got a bigger one but we’d already spent a small fortune kitting up a new motorhome so getting low on cash!! 💰 😂 Thanks for watching Karen 👍 Andrew, Jane & Buddy 🐶

@@Eurosully thank you we don’t want to spend a fortune as we have just got a motorhome from a caravan . Would you recommend river 2 then ? I’ve seen one for £250 .

@@karenlund2703 yes, I have friends with river 2, no issues. Just look out for a deal, maybe a Black Friday deal before Christmas. Not tried any of the other brands, but they all do the same thing. Caravan to motorhome, exciting! How are you finding it??

@@Eurosully we love it so easy to set up .We are away in it at High Bentham not too far for us .Does your Sat nav have 7 or 9 in screen we are going to buy one too ?Really appreciate you help 😊

@@karenlund2703 it’s the 7 inch, and for the money it’s very good. Once we worked out all it’s features we really got into it. Way points, points of interest etc and of course your dimensions. TIP: when putting in your dimensions, do it as a large car rather than a truck/wagon (you’ll see when in settings). I started as a truck and changed dimensions but it started taking me on strange routes (designed to keep all goods vehicles, even light ones, out of towns) once changed to car then added dimensions it’s been great. Also, for width and height, add a little, if you are 2.3m wide it will take you down a 2.3 m wide road, same with height, a little too close for comfort! 😂👍

@@Eurosully I am also Burnley born and bred! Try the Hardware shop in Padiham for a £1 plug hole strainer. We use 40 shot dish n treat as our washing up liquid. Never had smelly drain! Cuts through the grease well but a bit pricey!
