If it’s used, definitely a full inspection. Recently got myself a mountain bike (used) gears needed to be adjusted, brakes needed adjusted etc. All screws, springs, and stops all had to be adjusted. I actually had to replace my crank assembly because I bent it after my first couple of rides (although I think the integrity of it was already compromised before I got it. )

I normally put reflectors on my bike as well as a decent bell just to be extra safe when riding and to make myself more visible and audible. Furthermore, the bull bars I add give me extra positioning for my hands and it looks really cool! Now my bike is dialed and I'm ready for the trails! 💪🏼

The dork disk is more important in trails than on the road. The only issue is that it may come loose and rattle, but in the mean time it can save your spokes. MTBers only remove them because everyone else those and we're as much of a trend follower as everyone.
@nyreppin1 Жыл бұрын
Your derailer has limit screws to prevent your chain from falling behind your cassette. The dork disc isn't needed so long as your limits screws are set properly.
