1. Concentration is just the safest skill to put on a mage, more effective than novas alone. Chase is good but very rng heavy, it could go wrong if you dont hqve alot of crit research stats. 2. The phys/magic shields are under performance skills, there's just other more optimal skills than those. 3. You don't necessarily need to build full defense on a "tank". You need utility skills something like aura, Blessing, or effects. Charles/tank is the one you will prefer to die first before damage dealers, therefore build something that can boost the whole team instead of own survival. 4. The report that shows defeat or victory on a siege doesn't really matters. The damage you deal on gnomes is the same. They come as "waves" you win few first waves but loss in the next ones, that's how it is. It appears a win if you win fights, and then loss the very few troops remaining from the last wave. The only important thing about these reports is the amount of defender dead, and your red deads.
