This is what JFK meant by "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" and he said "country" no-t government.. Thats what a tornado does. It wipes everything you have ever worked for or had handed down to you from generation to generation out. One day you wake up, it seems like it might be an ok day ( all the while you know the weather is nice, but strange for this time of year and you can feel something is off in the air, but you go on about your day and pray you are just over worked and tired). Thats when it hits...sad but it's true I have lived through it more times than I can count in my life... And why do I continue to live here? Well Natural disasters can happen anywhere at any given time.

My heart and prayers goes out to all those in Kentucky who lost their homes and loved ones this week. I pray that these people can have power back and running and something to eat before Christmas time. It's such a sad sight to see an entire city be destroyed leaving nothing behind but a community feeling lost with no where to go. It makes me so grateful and guilty to have not lost anything or anyone during that storm since It went through AR where I live. I'll be donating to any disaster relief funds I can find to try and help anyone at all that's going through these hard times.

The last guy spoke so well --- and help is on the way ---- National Guard, Army Corps of Engineers and tons more--- get Mitch McConnell out there --- probably not -- he doesn't dirty his hands with "the folks". If he doesn't make sure all of you are taken care of --- vote him out. He should be able to get you funding better than most people ---he has been in Congress long enough to at least get that done.

Innocent, untouched folks have no idea until you walk in their moccasins. We lost our home (we were in our mid 60’s) in the Ohio tornado of May 2019. Our tornado formed late that night after we were we were safe. When hubby saw the radar changed we tried again to make it to the basement.. Unfortunately we were within 2 feet of the doorway to the stairwell when the SW wall of our brick home collapsed inward blowing us violently to the floor. The roof & rafters then lifted off our room & somehow we made it. We were both injured but hubby kept going to check on all neighbors after taking me to safety to our closest neighbor. We will be doing a donation to families to pay it forward. We had folks from Florida to Pennsylvania that sent us generous gifts 🎁 🙏❤️
