Күн бұрынVideo PREMIERE of our Trailer Renovation from Beginning to End! We have worked out butts off these past few weeks making this trailer much more a tiny home than just a trailer, and we are confident it is going to work for us while we build our new home in AR!
In this video we start from the beginning and work till the end!
When we first started, we NEVER Imagined we were going to have to do so much work - but in the end, I'm happy we did! We GUTTED This monster, and put it back together better than ever!
THANK YOU ALL For coming along the journey with us. Its been one wild ride getting us to this point.. And the adventure is just getting started! We cant wait for our big move across country and hope ya'll stick along for the ride!

After all this time of watching your build in Arkansas I came across this video. Amazing! It takes a special type of person to take on this level of work & complete it with flying colors! So many 'layers' of unforeseen setbacks, but Gary, you handled each one like a champ! So glad that you found this unexpected 'gift' before leaving for Arkansas! It just shows the realities of life as we know it. Nothing comes easy. Gary & Mel, as you are taking on the build in another State, you are met with the same 'realities' as you work against the bad weather, back-orders & the high cost of materials, sickness with CoVid, etc. etc. You guys rock! Hoping for the best in your family's future!

Wow, I just found you guys & I caught this one by accident and I’m so glad I did. You & Gary are amazing & how well you both work so well together is outstanding…your so cute together. I love how you have been teaching your children & they are so polite- it’s refreshing. This video was before you moved to Arkansas, but what I have been watching - you already have the the basement almost built & Rooster has been tiering your land. Also, the thing you did with the pool. I recognized the pool & the flag from David video C mon. I am so impressed w/ you & Gary. Love everything about your work ethic & just y’all a good people. Thank you for sharing your time with me & us! I lost my husband of 47 yrs. - 7 yrs. ago. we used to do everything together just like you & Gary! Your making wonderful memories guys!❤️

This old man from Alaska is thoroughly impressed with what you accomplished because I failed at what you did. I was in my twenties and never held a skill saw in my hands as it was all hand tools. Sure it was the seventies and the trailer was from the fifties but not many trailers were around, I didn't know a thing about them. I had helped build a couple houses but not to completion nor all fazes of the build so when rot happened and I tore it out, the building collapsed on me. The counters were rotted, the tin on the outside had rusted away, and the roof leaked so bad that you could catch water in five gallon buckets and they ran over in the whole deal. Many years later, no place to live, there was a fifth wheel trailer that came up... the owner said fix and you can live in... me and two dogs, Rottweilers looked inside and smell was bad but we took it on in middle of winter and actually made it better than its new counter part. The best part of this video is watching you go forward to build a new home is just icing on the cake now. I watched you over at the bearded carpenters and learn new ways to move logs or take off the bark. You guys are fun!

I inherited a 1998 Aljo from a relative that has been out in the elements since 2002 and had another relative “squat” there for a while. I want to restore it as either a small “guest house” on my land or an actual travel trailer. Thanks for the ideas!

I’m viewing this in January 2022 it’s a real transformation and your husband & you did a fantastic job, I know your proud of the results. If you haven’t done the cushions yet, may I suggest bottom fitting sheets for twin beds and tucked in and under and use mattress cover tighteners to keep them snug. This is a convenient way to keep them clean with children and animals, just remove them and wash in the washing machine and dry as you choose! I may be late with this advice but it works for me in my RV, love it!

Just went back and watched the replay, you both did an amazing job on this trailer. That is the dilemma, once you start any reno project, there is always something else to change or fix even if nothing is to severely damaged. When you update then it leads to changing something else😳. Sorry you had to find that extensive water damage but definitely glad you found before you did what you had planned to do and then find out or worse like Gary said, having the floor fall out from underneath you while living in it in AR😳😬😳. Love how you were able to create a great space for the whole family to be able to cozy up with each other and still have space😃👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼Blessing

This was fun to watch. Once upon a time, we traveled and lived in a 5th wheel with 5 kids. We built our kids' beds custom for the upstairs bedroom and we slept down in the living room kitchen part. That way, when they went to bed at night, we had the run of the place and had access to the kitchen and they would also sleep in and not wake up with every little noise. It worked out great. Like you, we redid things to fit our lifestyle and we put a sofa system in that made a huge bed for us at night and folded away quickly when we got up. It really wasn't that bad because we could still send the kids "to their room" even to play in bad weather. The beds we built had storage in them for their toys and things, too. By the way, we used to live in Arizona, too and now have lived in Arkansas for nearly 37 years. Hope you enjoy the upcoming changes in your lives. Have fun on your adventure!

Wow! You did such a great job repairing, rebuilding, remodeling this RV! That took some know how! It's beautiful now. I can't imagine living in that small space with 5 of you for as long as you'll have to do it, not even a slide out! I wondered how you would sleep everyone but it worked out well. Love the countertops! We have a 5th wheel too but it's 36 foot long with 3 slide outs. We bought it in 2019 used, it is a 2006 but was top of the line brand new (Jayco Designer) and well cared for, kept coveted when not in use so we didn't have to do anything to it.

I watch a lot of KZfaq D IY and different kinds of home in trailer Box truck building, And does build was the most enjoyable one that I have ever watched. Youtu are adorable and your little boy oh my goodness what a heartbreaker hes gonna be. I want whatever you ran into you fixed it and moved on the end result is a solid unit and you did a beautiful job decorating and updating your home.

I see this video content was from 2 years ago... Great job y'all and your little helpers were great too and so precious ad well. I watched this from start to the end, very helpful ideas with renovations, I know I'll be going through my own 87 Excel 26 ft x 8 ft RV camper soon. I'll be deleting the black tank and old toilet too, may get a nature's head or some sort of composting toilet with and exhaust and easier cleaning so I don't have to search for the place to empty and dump the poo 💩😉👍, get a new grey tank and water tank, and maybe a new water heater, and have new updated wiring, etc after I get done fixing any water damages, taking out all the fiberglass insulation and replacing with new Havelock wool, and new walls where needed and more as I go along with this new renovation and remodeling needed 😉👍 again, great job y'all 🤗

Wow.. I sure miss Vegas sunsets I told u before I spent summers with dad in Vegas n with my grandparents in Utah it was mixed.. winters in Utah with mom.. n I lived in my trailer for 10 years after divorce..with son n granddaughter full time except for visits with kiddos with ex.. I actually lived in the mountains for 7 summers ate off of trout fish .. we spent a lot of time on lake mead water skiing dad bought me shoes that went in three pairs of shoes just to get my feet big enough to water ski.. I could stay up till I decided to drop dad held me up barefoot on the back of my skis till I could do it.. I could go on n on.. I guess u two know a trailer inside n out like me.. n here I’ve given u advice.. u two n five are an amazing family.. so glad I looked for older videos.. u guys are close to my heart.. we’ve shared a part of this earth together closer.. but I’m glad u got outta the rat race there.. it’s way to big now.. I live in rural Utah.. high dessert .. I’ll be watching u.. tell everyone hi from a Nevadan dessert rat.. Utah mountain rat to another.. peace ✌️ love sent

Congrats on the great job ! I wish I would have seen your video about your trailer rebuild when it came out last year. I would have donated money, and gave you sound advice. Great job on working with what you got! For one, never paint right out of the paint can, never ! Get a ladle for your paint if if you have to ( it only cost $1 ) use a bucket or pale (also cheap). You could use 2 part epoxy on the counter top. it was ultra durable and looks great. maybe down the road you can experiment. Try to get as many L.E.D. as you can, and get one of those solar panels and lithium battery charger pack. That will come in handy.Look forward to more videos !

Also if your doing the building on property. You might check out Portables sawmills if you have big timber on your property could save a little money maybe with the price of lumber nowadays

Love what you did to it will be even better than a new one!! Plus, so beautiful and functional! We did so remodels on ours but we aren't as good as you's.

this is the most intensive complete awesome repair video on you tube. I was riveted to it all the way through. What a friggin awesome job you both did !! Start to finish. Where others would have quit you persevered and took on the challenge. Don't stop making video's .. It was the best I have seen in the 3 years I have been watching rv renovations on you tube. Congratulations job well done.
