Dirt Finals was a bit of a blood bath. Fortunately no one was seriously hurt (Buckworth got knocked out for a few seconds and hurt his shoulder, but he's good), but it just goes to show how much these dudes have to send it to get on the podium.
WHAT IS OUR BMX?!
In short, we are the Ride BMX staff out on our own. We're building from the ground up and our goal is pretty simple. We want to continue what we love. We want to create great content, feature awesome riders, and contribute, push, and show why we love BMX. I love how everyone is celebrating and the winner is giving his interview while the last guy that went is still laying on the ground with the paramedics. Where is the respect?

It probably didn’t look too bad from the back. I was surprised when he got up in pain like that. No disrespect intended, but they were obviously caught up in the moment.

This was complete disrespect towards Nick Bruce, but not from Logan Martin. He was just caught up in the moment. It's still entertainment for the public in the end, and ultimately was the X-Games producers decision to tell the announcers to omit the information of how bad Nick Bruce's crash was. They had a camera right beside him and could have easily showcased that he rolled the dice and got injured but this is bad tv and could lower viewership. Since it was the last run, it all has to be about the victory! X-Games is all a show for the cooperate money and tv ratings, the riders work hard so they can hopefully earn another paycheck. I am glad this angle was captured, so hopefully the participants can see this truth better.

Can’t believe the tricks and air time these guys are pulling, when I was a teen in the 90’s riding bmx I thought I was the man when I pulled a no footer at 6 feet off the jump! I’m a straight noob in my own eyes when I see these champs throw!

I have no idea how you judge this one. Might as well have just tossed the medals up for 1, 2, and 3 and whoever they fall on gets it. Top 3 runs were very different but all similarly the highest level of riding. It would have been easier if they were just similar and somebody did it smoother or with a single variation. But I don't even know how you apply numbers to those runs.

If we could take this video back in time and show the freestylers of 1987 the tricks these riders today are doing they would shit.,. Back in the day when a cancan, a table top or an x up done on a quarter were like revolutionary tricks and u were the man if you could pull them off.

I don't follow bmx much but it doesn't seem like many of the athletes spin in both directions, I know that's a big part of scoring in other sports.

Logan is on top. Those fucking Aussie boys are unreal with all kinds of riding. Be on the lookout for Rim and a couple other guys but we’ve found our new bmx champion. Congratulations but I hope you start to work on the social skills. Not any slight against you, but open up a bit. You will get more people on your side, and your riding speaks for itself
