I trusted in my own finances and strength and left a job that the Lord provided me and blessed me greatly in. After I did that, everything turned to disaster BUT, the Lord is Great and will ALWAYS overcome our mistakes and is ALWAYS more than willing to bring us back to Him when we realize we cannot do anything without Him. Blessed is our Father, Who is kind to forgive and redeem and will restore us. Amen!

Old as I am, I still falter in some pressing moments and rely on my way to figure out things. But I always catch myself out and redirect my burdens to the one whose invitation to cast them to I accepted a long time ago. Thank you Lord for your mercies.

I am learning to trust God. I've just recently suffered a horrible attack from Satan. But it actually made me trust God more. Jesus said Satan has asked to shift you and I pray you keep your faith. Oh my God this scripture pulled me out of that dark rut. I am so grateful for his word and presence in my life.

I spent a lot of years trying to do it myself, relying on my own knowledge and strength. I realized, about 6 years ago, that there is no match for the strength of God. I now rely on him for everything. I take everything to him. I do not try to make it on my own because I know I will fail. Thank you for taking me back, Lord. I will never walk down that old path again.

Great biblical truth. Over 20 years ago my husband and I were both working and had two younger children. I had been praying about my job situation and felt God not want me to sign my yearly contract. In the meantime, my husband comes up to me and tells me that he quit his job. Leaning on my own understanding, I signed my yearly contract. God reminded me that whole year that He still loves me, but I also knew I had been disobedient to His calling. Today I am at that same place. I feel God wants me to have a leap in faith. My husband is getting ready to retire and taking a decrease in pay in a few months I will have to make a decision to sign my contract or trust in God‘s plan. “I do believe, help me overcome my unbelief “. Mark 9:24 Please pray I will listen to Him and not noises around me.

So many many times, especially during scary times. I’ve gotten better at committing to an every day prayer and time with God. I feel myself come to him more and resort to myself less. But anxiety makes it hard I just have to keep reminding myself… His way. Not mine.

It’s been a struggle to give up my perceived control (emphasis on perceived because I was never actually in control) in money situations, especially when it seems like there’s not enough to go around. However, as God continues to bless me with understanding on my journey with Him, He has shown me time and time again that I am not alone in any situation. God is always watching over us. In times of financial need He reminds me of the Scripture about feeding the 5,000 with a few loaves of bread and a couple of fish. God reminds me of the Old Testament Elijah and the woman whose oil and flour never ran out while she helped him. God reminds me that while the Hebrew people wandered in the wilderness, He provided them with manna from Heaven and water from rock. God will always provide a way, all we have to do is trust Him to do what He has always done: love and care for His children. I pray this blesses you in some way today, all praise and honor to God Who always provides. God bless 🥰

I was in a very toxic and abusive relationship. I am now a single mother from that relationship. I never relied on my strength in that’s situation but I didn’t rely on God’s either. I grew up the same way but also, as I grew older, I felt as though He either A. didn't care (because things hadn't changed), B. it was stupid to ask for "the small things" and C. I would just forget to pray (🤦🏽‍♀️). Thankfully circumstances and relearning the real definition of prayer and understanding "relationship with GOD" better has taught me prayer is good always. I bend His ear a lot now and through the years. 😊🙏🏼✝️☝🏼👤💯💞

When I went to college, my mother told me I didn’t need to go to church there, I just needed to focus on studies. TBH, I think she was afraid for me to get involved with an influential group or person that might not be safe - that may sort of prey on kids away from parents for the first time. I remember being relieved I didn’t need to get up early and I could party the night before, I got lost spiritually, and made poor decisions. Looking back I was very immature. I think my mother was right, however, I wish that I had the strength of character to find my own safe way to continue my spirituality there. God used that time and those mistakes to strengthen my character, but I wish I had never turned away from Him.

I really had to laugh when I was watching this. Because each time I knew best what was good for my situation I fell flat on my face. now that I am older 78yrs, (see you can still teach an old dog new lessons) I realise how foolish I was, although as achild in I was praying to my FATHER all the time. as a teen still, but not so often. now as soon as I wake up, and before I get up, I ask HIS Help, for every step I take. because without HimI cannot even move a finger. We seldom realise how GREAT!!!!!!!! our GOD !!!!!!!!! is unless we Give HIM the chance , HE is just Waiting for us to let HIM do what HE knows best. I marvel, and stand in awe ,what my FATHER has in store for me. Everyday, wow!!!!!!!!!!!!what a MIGHTY GOD we serve. GOD BLESS; and keep you all safe in HIS Amighty Arms.

In hindsight too many times I basically put too much weight on knowledge and lacked the heart that actually would speak to people in their circumstance. Essentially it was a discernment issue and heart issue that God has been working on me with. Such a great verse and reminder to be more in prayer and that He is in control, not me.

Thank you for sharing - Experience and have been a true reality in my life - and a rude awakening - spiritual growth needed to take place - prioritizing by focus in His Word and prayer - to help me seek His guidance and follow through in everything first - learning to discern His voice. understanding now to strengthen what has to take place in trials & tribulations needed to be corrected in outlook in my Christian walk to learn / develop and have total faith in Jesus love for us. To be in His will and obedience. To be pleasing in His sight: Scripture: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” That is in will and plan for His glory. 🙏🏽

I rely on myself trying to fix my anxiety and my social relationships rather than waiting and asking God why these things are happening and opening his word, which is so hard to do now especially college. I also get fomo badly especially wanting to hang with people I like but naturally I get anxiety about what these people said and maybe misinterpret what they're saying for something I might miss out on, something worldly all because I just want to fit in and maybe just maybe find that something that will fulfill for a while, but it won't be forever and I get anxiety and don't know how to take that to God. But I feel like I do cause I just wrote it down lol. Matthew 6:33.

Time when I rely on my own (big mistake): how I can understand or communicate or to sum it up, love people surrounding me, especially when I am so worn out. When I rely on myself, I fail to realize the love that God has already provided, fail to love people surrounding me like Christ has always done and fail to even take care of myself. I end up hurting everyone including me because of lack of patience or listening or understanding.

There's a song sung by Mark Bishop that reminds me of our need to pray, titled "Pray On The Little Days". Part of the lyrics say "Why do we wait until things go wrong, When we could have Him by our side all along"?

There's an incident that happened in my life..I was happening to be appearing to the exam related to Bible, I was fully confident in myself that it is so easy to pass and I can do it all by myself bcoz I have passed an exam previously related to college with the help of Lord but I thought the biblical exam is easy compared to the college exam and I did very poorly! At that time I realized I did not ask God for help and undersitmated the exam

Wow! This is inspirational. God cares about every detail of your life. I really needed to hear this because sometimes I feel like my prayers are not worth praying for, especially when it comes to my career sometimes. I needed this refresher. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly.

Let me comment now about how going my own way has always led me astray. As Dr. Scott used to say, definition of sin is going my way instead of His. Shalom

It is hard to deal with: Family sick member School works People relations Relations w/wife Family expectation Everything seems so cut throat to me. I try to solve the problems, to do good. It is way too excruciating! God, I need your help, I need a break. Would you offer your helping hand. I can not fix everything. I am putting myself on the edge. Please God, Please 🙏

If I ask you for advice on an important matter, knowing you know the best advice to give, and you give no clear and audible response, what good is asking you? God hears all prayers you say, and that may be so. And you hear me ask you in the aforementioned analogy. But what good is hearing me if you do not respond in a way THAT I CLEARLY UNDERSTAND?
