How Hard is it to HIKE TIMP? Climb Mount Timpanogos, Utah
Mt Timpanogos or just Timp for short is somewhat of a mecca for Utah residents. It is definitely one of the most hiked peaks in the state and is the second highest peak in the Wasatch Mountains and 9th highest in Utah. It sits imposingly over Utah valley and beckons outdoor enthusiasts to reach it's 3,582 Meter summit (11,752 feet). Summiting Mount Timpanogos is a big accomplishment, especially when you look back at how far you've come.

@@OurMillionAdventures I enjoyed the Bell’s Canyon hike up to the upper falls, though it can be a little more crowded. I want to do Timp from the Aspen Grove Trail next.

Cool, I'll have to give that a look. I've heard the Aspen Grove trail is quite a bit steeper, though about the same length.

I definitely would like to do Kings Peak too. I did a bit of research on it after hiking Timp.

Christian's pack is a good example of why people have to be rescued. He does not care enought to handle changing weather or emerganies. Your B Roll is just right amount and length. it makes the video look good with out to distractiong. Thanks

Harder on heart, lungs, and muscles going up, but harder on joints, knees, ankles, toes going down.

I hiked it years ago before I got married. It was early in the spring and so it didn’t get hot at all and even the glacier was still there. I loved the whole experience.

Just did my first timp hike with my dad. I am only 10 and I summited it! My knees were wrecked at the end, I was crying when we got to the car, the final summit climb was kinda scary. I did the timpenookie trail, and it was so fun! One of the mountain goats was right on the trail and lurched toward us. We saw so many goats!

that hike is pretty easy compared to other hikes in that area because it’s not as steep it just kills your knees on the way down

going down was hard because it was hot or was the trail harder when going down? was it slippery going down? i just want to prepare myself because we plan to hike Timp..
@stevenpearson4290

Small fact Timp is not the ninth highest mountain in Utah. Where it ranks I am not sure, many ranges have 12,000 ft peaks. Uinta mountains alone have many 13,000 plus peaks. Probably not a native so will give you a break. Enjoyed you video well done.
