The reason why they keep showing the petrol prices is, because that's what a common man in kerala can relate to that year the most. Could understand the time period quickly more than just showing the year.

Kingini means Bell 🔔 and it’s normally the name given as a pet name to kids in Kerala. In this context, as they consider their dogs as their kids, one of them is named as Kingini. That guy who was laughing, the magistrate intentionally calls him “Kingini” because he cannot call him a dog.

The humor is very regionally based, specifically in the dialect spoken in northern Kerala. So, some of the jokes might not fully translate for you as Americans. Nonetheless, I'm sure you'll still find all the other stuff funny 😅

All actors except the lead Kunchako Boban are amature actors and first time actors casted from the locality of the place where this story is depicted hence carrying a perfect local dielect.

After this movie, the government of Kerala literally banned cameras on helmets claiming it creates accidents. What kind of a stupid logic is that!! They don’t want people reporting accidents due to potholes.

Helmet cameras were banned because it affects the weight balance of the helmets causing them to fall forward during accidents. It is a safety risk. The order came from Supreme Court not State Government. People were asked to wear chest cameras or bike mounted cameras instead.
