It's not common for people in the US to live with their parents, so he honestly asked if it was a cultural thing (and outside the US, it often is.) However, often actresses in the states do live with their parents and it's often a subject of conversation in interviews. Dave wasn't being mean or snarky (though "snark" is part of his thing) he was just conversing. Dave is beloved by people (especially guests who "get it") for a reason.

Its like Mandarin Chinese which is most spoken language in the world - because of the size of PRC population and not because Mandarin is widely spoken in all countries or the Lingua Franca of the world.

I personally consider Hindi as an Alien (as in foreign) language that is tainted with words from Arabic / Persian languages (NON-Indian) that doesn't belong in the Indian sub-continent. The Dravidian group of languages however, belong to the Sub-continent as we are the only remaining truly indigenous people of the land, neither our language, ethnic identity or genetics got tainted with blood of Mughals, Mongolians, Greeks etc

@@LatchmiGirl i don't feel it....i know many words are taken from urdu in hindi language but its totally derived from sanskrit....its an irony that indians don't exactly talk in proper (shuddh) hindi....even it has so many words and phrases from awdhi and all...which are purly pure words of india....its that simple...if we can't understand and learn each and every language...i have no problem if any other official language be our national language as far as its not english....but here in india people think its very big deal if we speak english....the reason is not every educated person can speak tamil,telugu, gujrati,marathi or kokani.or any major language for getting job in different states..so we intend to learn english.but still can't say hindi is alien language with so many words from other languages it is still the language which can be understood by most of the indians....
