Reason KGF telugu is in IMAX in LA might be because the Telugu speaking population in the US is far greater than the Kannada speaking people. So the chances of the theatre filling up is much higher if released in Telugu!

Haha... Agree with that last point on audience energy in theaters after the first day. It’s just flat and silent. Remember, back in India, when you visit a theater for a movie on any day, no matter who the hero is, you can hear claps & whistles at the start of the film and claps/whistles whenever there are applaudable moments throughout.

Honestly, this gives me a feel of two other films mixed. A mall heist comedy Gurkha (Night Guard) and Vijay's own hit Thuppaki (Firearm), and backed up by Anirudh just makes it all the better

Vijay's role in beast reminds me "AURTURO ROMAN" from money heist... Nelson's previous film DOCTOR had some similarities to "BREAKING BAD" and now "BEAST" has more similarities to "MONEY HEIST".....

Hardcore fans with the biggest reactions will always be FDFS. After that you get mixed audiences and the reactions will be significantly less. That is how it is here in Minneapolis anyway. Even Rajnikanth films are like that FDFS and maybe into Saturday evening will get audience reactions, Saturday afternoon not so much...I always make the effort to see big films the first day of showing. I haven't seen a Thalapathy Vijay film in the theaters yet so I am looking forward to this one! Have said it before, please watch Master. Great story, music and action and Vijay Sethupathy plays the villain.
