Tell me about it! I was struggling to wrap my head around 100 bucks 😂

It's starting to become like video games. People see it as a value investment, instead of a physical piece of media to watch/play and enjoy. People will go out of their way to look up what is rare/valuable and snatch up all they can get to flip and sell for a profit. These people are like locusts and tarnish everything collecting used to be about

@@Chaso-1124 exactly can't tell you how many times I've run into that. There is this one guy that will use his family to block off/ take up the whole movie section while he has an arm full and looking each one up. Extremely frustrating and the other one that gets me is the guys that say buy two and flip one. I've overpaid for stuff Ive missed out on but 5-10 dollars is a far cry from hundreds. it seems to be an American problem because importing the same movies almost always on the cheap.

It's not worth that unless someone pays that price. Jacking it up that high is foolhardy at best.

All great films a large part of my childhood, they were a day one purchase for me too and at the time I don’t think they were streaming anywhere. Thanks for watching👍

Thanks for sharing! What a score to have The Pink Panther honestly it was something that I figured I could wait for then I forgot all about it until it was too late. Hopefully some of these come to 4k sooner than later.

Very nice. 2012 I was on deployment most of that year so quite a few I missed out on. When I got out I ramped up the collecting having more room for everything it never dawned on me to see what I missed out on until it was to late and expensive. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Awesome I really didn’t mind having Dogma on VHS but rumor has it the rights were purchased by paramount and a 4k is coming. Maybe not a day one purchase but I’ll pick up the 4k for sure. License to Drive is one I’m always tempted to just get the over priced eBay one or maybe import one but is a 4k around the corner? I’ll begrudgingly wait.

That’s the real win there getting it for so low and already having it! I remember them being in the 5 dollar bin at Walmart and thinking more people should own this movie. Thanks for watching 👍

Thanks man I tried have stuff that people might not be talking about. 125 for me is too much for 1 movie.( although I did just order the super Mario set from umbrella entertainment) but if you don’t need the Paramount presents version Imprint films out of Australia put one I picked it up for under 30 bucks.

@@80sMadeConsumer Ok I thought you might have been going for more ones that people don’t talk about as much but had to throw some more in there. Yes I did actually pick up the imprint version of Breakdown unfortunately I was pretty deep into the Paramount presents collection, thought it could be completely relatively cheap but I was wrong lol. I agree though, not paying $125 for 1 movie unless it’s an amazing very limited release or something like that of a movie I love

Glad you have one! For some reason I could care less about slipcovers but a slip box I’m kind of a sucker for them. It wasn’t a day one purchase for me figuring it wouldn’t sell out and I guess I forgot about it.

I’ve paid way too much for some movies too. Both are great glad I bought Once Upon a Time way back when. I’m still holding out for an Airheads 4k but it I ever find one cheap enough I’ll have to grab it. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@80sMadeConsumer I wish I bought some of the movies that you talked about. I didn't ever think that the Pink panther collection would be worth that much.

I do too who knew it would have been a desired item. I think the transfer is good. What was jarring for me was not realizing it was the extended directors cut. There is a fairly lengthy scene that was added in and it seems like that scene was never restored or over exposed.

All great movies some I have some I only have on VHS or DVD. Completely missed The Adventures of Ford Fairlane somehow never heard of it. I have the Eureka release of Blacula that was one of the reasons to buy a region free player. Thanks for watching and sharing👍

Jumpin Jack Falsh and Drive me Crazy are ones I would like to add hoping for a 4k. I still have bedazzled on dvd, and it doesn’t get watched enough to pay those eBay prices. I appreciate the suggestions on the others I’ll be sure to keep an eye out.

Wow I passed on that movie last week can’t remember if it was the dvd or the Blu-ray but I chuckled and put it back kicking myself a bit now.

Zapped is a good one if I ever want to part with it I’ll send it your way. (I’ll never part with it hahaha) good grab on with out a paddle. Sometimes sellers don’t know what they have and you can get a great deal.

I think it does last time I saw one go for right around $150. There are MOD discs selling for a 100. but I’m pretty sure it never had an officially licensed MOD. So imo those are bootlegs selling for a bundle. I’d stay clear of those.

I agree! some of those sold listings are insane. I don't like ebay scalpers but I have paid 60 for a movie and never a plain studio release anything more than that I'll pick up the VHS for a dollar.

That could be done but it’s not for me I’d rather have the original plus finding a great deal is even better. The ones I have are because I bought them day one those eBay prices are too high. If it’s a movie I really loved maybe $50 would be my limit. But all the same happy to have the dvd or the VHS.

Oh yea. Just looked that up last night and saw what it was going for. Crazy. It is 1 of 3 of those Diamond Luxe I got and was looking to get the rest. I loved those editions. Shame they did not do more.

That’s a good one wasn’t a super fan of the film but the atmos audio would have been nice.

I honestly forgot about bedazzled I only have the dvd bc it’s too pricey. I kept Dogma off the list just because I figured that one was common knowledge plus there is a video out that shows Kevin Smith saying a deal had Finally be struck for Dogma so it might see the light of day soon enough. Did know Zorror was so expensive either thanks for the info. I agree some of them will more than likely get a 4k soon or an international release, but it’s those movies that have goofy studios like touchstone or fox now not sure if Disney will put much of the good stuff out. Some movies are worth paying a little bit for imo but 100 for one movie in a cheap eco case isn’t worth it. I’d rather get the VHS or DVD. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@80sMadeConsumer I believe the Kevin smith deal you are talking about for Dogma was an April Fools joke and I believe he posted it on April 1st so I doubt anytime soon for Dogma. However I think eventually someone will be able to release 4Ks of Dogma, Bedazzled, License to Drive, all the big name actor movies will eventually come out. So for me to have 2 copies of Dogma that I bought for $60 each might not be worth it for me to hold in the long run. Bedazzled as well I got for a premium so it definitely worries me dropping big money on these OOP titles that will eventually get picked up by someone. Friday the 13th boxset was tied up forever and I bought the OOP black hard case version with the Digipack. Was going for over $200 but was able to snag one with everything for $40 once the new boxset came out. So definitely not worth it but for ones that you absolutely need in your collection and can’t wait then thats a different story lol. There are definitely some movies that I should not have paid what I did but that nostalgia gets us everytime
