Henry Burr - real name Harry Haley McClaskey - was born in Canada in 1882. He died in Chicago in 1941, the year after he did this recording. This a particularly beautiful song and it's good that a live radio recording exists which includes the introduction of Henry singing a song " from out of the past." The whole audio is just wonderful and very nostalgic. Makes you feel like you were there at the time. God bless.

This is lovely. A fine voice singing a very melodious old song. I have an instrumental version on British issue ( HMV 1618 ) by the famous violinist De Groot ( with the Piccadilly Orch ) , recorded in 1923. This is the first time I have heard a vocal version. Thank you for posting it. It's great that it's a live recording. I will pay more attention to Henry Burr now.

I have many of Burr’s recordings from the teens and twenties, but this recording is perhaps unique. It is definitely one of his last recordings. Still in fine voice at the time.
