The black backing is bleachable off the back of FP-3000B, but then you’re still left with the translucent white film base. I’ve heard a couple mentions of making contact prints this way, since there is enough light to go through to expose the photo paper, but I haven’t tried it yet.

@@krewlfilm7992 good places to look are usually garage sales, thrift stores, or somewhere unconventional to get a steal. My friend got an instamatic 4x5 for around 180 dollars, you can also choose to make your own. It isnt too difficult if you do some research

You can remove the negative from its backing by soaking it in warm water, it will begin to loosen and come off but it will be very flimsy. Mark

I have a Polaroid Bigshot that I only got to shoot one pack through but I really loved the results and wanted to shoot more. Very disappointed in Fuji for completely discontinuing it. Now my Bigshot is just a very interesting paperweight sadly.

A few years back I got a cheap plastic Square Shooter 2 land camera and bought a pack of FP-100C for cheap. The cartridge didn't fit in the camera though so the film has been sitting in my fridge ever since lol. Might look into finding a model that will fit it.

Nothing like using (somewhat) fresh film on a bright, sunny day.;) Gotta have full manual control to "get it right the first time." Too bad Fuji insists that box cameras with inadequate exposure controls can handle ISO 800 Instax film in full sun. (Is this a sound business strategy, making it all but impossible to get properly exposed images with Instax cameras and film?)

Hi I love the video! I myself am the happy owner of a pack of FP-100C. But it expired in 2002. Would you recommend to overexpose it by one stop, equivalent to expired film (10 years ~ 1 stop overexpo)?
@AnalogResurgence
@AnalogResurgence 3 жыл бұрын
I would still shoot it at box speed, this stuff can be pretty resilient but it's also hard to know. If stored well then box speed of 100 is probably okay, but after seeing the first shot you should be able to adjust your settings a bit.

just found this video, can I ask what this "cold clip" is actually for and how one would use it? also do you have a video where you show the exact process when it comes to shooting this film? I heard it has a lot to do with ambient temperature and such.
@AnalogResurgence
@AnalogResurgence 2 жыл бұрын
The film's development is impacted by the temperature! Ideally you shoot around 20-30c and the packing of the film tells you how long to wait before you peel it apart to see the developed image. The cold clip is an old accessory that's really just two thin pieces of metal that you use on colder days when shooting this type of film. Put the cold clip in a pocket or somewhere warm and then put the film in it to keep it warm while it develops!

Love these shoot videos! Do you need to shoot, pull small tab, then film tab out or pull the small tab first then shoot?
@AnalogResurgence
@AnalogResurgence 3 жыл бұрын
Shoot, then small tab, then pull the shot out! Pulling the small tab will move the negative portion of the image that you just shot down to the bottom of the pack, in place on top of the print which will be your positive, and then the whole thing gets pulled out!

What was the air temperature, and average development time
@AnalogResurgence

About 15 celsius and I think it was about a minute and a half? Times and temperatures are printed on the fuji shots as you pull out of course so it was whatever corresponded at the time.

What is the metal clip you are squeezing undeveloped images with?
@AnalogResurgence
@AnalogResurgence 3 жыл бұрын
That’s the Polaroid Cold Clip! It’s an old accessory that is just two little pieces of medal that you use when the temperature is a little cold and might impact the development of the image while you wait. You warm it up in like a pocket and then just sand which the shot in it to keep it warm. Cooler temperatures can impact color and the quality of the image because the chemicals are as affective.
