In this LEGO Studio update, I rip out an endless amount of wire and conduit... it was insane how much ugly pointless wiring was in this place! In addition to that I showcase some custom build shelving that will act as a pony wall on the mezzanine area.

Can’t say I think it’s more fun than LEGO-stuff, but this project certainly helps against my FOMO. Bricksies big LEGO-basement is something I aspire to do myself one day, while this humongous place is something completely out of reach for me.😅

In our last home before our current one, the hallway drove me to distraction when it came to decorating it because they were pipes everywhere... I wanted to wallpaper it but in the end it was simpler to just paint it. It's always a good idea to get rid of redundant wiring, pipes, etc, because it makes decorating and placing furniture a lot easier and improves the look of the place immensely.

Hey Bricksie, just wanted to say thank you for the lego studio update, and I also would like to say that you should make the floor/tiles of the shelving area wood and also the area outside of that/the area where there is also tiles because I think it will make the lego studio more cozy and comfortable and also the tiles will no longer be different shades and colors and it will feel more homey, thanks again for the wonderful update Bricksie, love your vids and also your family.💗

A couple of videos ago you were talking about the carpet tile. It's super easy to install. I used to work doing carpet installation and we would use glue to keep them attached to the floor. If you have enough carpet, you should look into doing the front rooms and do it over the tile. That would help with the sound as well. When laying the tiles, instead of starting in a corner or side wall. You have to measure a line more in the center of the room, then you can use that as a starting point. You so this as not all walls are straight. How this helps. If I lived nearby I'd come help you with it. The new studio is looking great

Lot of work making old warehouse Bricksie approved. Its going to be awesome!! Get as much done now before moving the basement stuff from home. We can wait for the new upgraded Bricksie channel. One suggestion would to redo the whole staircase and make it take a 90 degree turn and wider, so it hugs the partition wall to the front, underneath can be more storage for your backlog sets.

Pretty sure that “banding” is caused by the LED lights! They flicker similar to a florescent bulb which your eyes don’t really see. I’ve had the same problem with my phone camera (both video and ,oddly, snapshots). If you Google it I believe it’s simply a frame rate issue that can be fixed by adjusting the shutter speed. Unfortunately I don’t believe you can do that with an iPhone…at least older ones like mine! 😏

if you want your walls clean you can also move the internet upstairs maybe even in a little network rack to make it extra clean. a great system i can recommend is the stuff from unifi especially for you this would be great as a base the dream machine pro SE (the SE is for PoE power over ethernet) to control your network is has everything build in including unifi protect couple that with 2 unifi access points on the ceiling for wifi running off PoE so only a network cable and maybe a few camera's from unifi like the bullet G5's this all runs in the unifi software on the dream machine you can manage everything from one easy to use piece of software super clean and with very powerful features for vlans, access control, camera's and so much more they also have a 360 dome camera if you put that in the middle of the studio you get a sick view of the lego city from above if you need any help please let me know
