This week we drive over 1100km through the epic Countryside of New South Wales, from Nundle to Broken Hill to start our awesome Outback NSW adventure!
We stop to marvel at the famous Gunnedah Silos that pay tribute to an iconic Australian poem, My Country by Dorothea Mackellar, before enjoying some unexpected and wild outback hospitality!
We also share a quick wrap-up of our flying visit to attend the Caravanning Queensland Let’s Go Gold Coast Expo, and the boys help Katie to celebrate with a Weber inspired birthday cake that doesn’t quite go to plan!

LOL Emmdale Roadhouse. It used to have a surfboard out front and they call them selves the Emmdale surf club. lot of history there, including selling illegal fireworks (was the previous owner). the lady that owns it, who's name evades me, cooks a great truckies breakie. Wilcannia used to be one of the largest inland port in Australia. I lived in Cobar for 10 years and so miss it out there (not the dust) fond memories. Great interview on the telly as well.

Yes a great video , we did this road trip last October 2020 we stoped at most of the road houses u pulled into , when arriving at Broken Hill towing our van we set up camp out at the Broken Hill race course , such a great place so set up camp for a week as we travelled all around Broken Hill

OH boy, am I late with watching last weeks episode!!! Again it was so fantastic watching your radio interview. parts of your presentation at the Caravan and Camping show AND appearing on the Gold Coast News, as well!!! Loved your drone work and the captures of the Silo Art at Gunnedah and the Cobar Town sign. Jasper, as always is delightful to watch and a total scene stealer. NOw I am off to watch this weeks episode and I am already prepared to be blown away by Broken Hill...and before I forget....HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATIE!!!! (YOur birthday cake still looked delicious despite being slightly bonsai-ed) (p.s I am typing this from a very wet Brisbane where are are currently based and due to pick up our new caravan in a matter of days)

I agree, perfect time to travel this amazing country we're all caretakers of. Unfortunately not travelling, though planning to get back on the roads again. So am injoying travel with yourselves and about ten all up, am seeing so much of this country of places would not believe existed. Amazing what drones have done for photography. @@TheFeelGoodFamily yes it was a great ep. We loved Broken Hill too. Can’t wait to see the silo art in Gunnedah. Favourite poem. If you are heading back one day there is a top spot east of Wilcannia to stay called Warrawong on the Darling. Awesome amenities and they have an emu who is a character.

Great episode. Loved Broken Hill when we were there a few years back. Took a bit of a detour and ended up at Coober Pedy and Uluru. 😂😂 Make sure you get Jasper to Peterborough for the trains 🙂🙂💕

@@TheFeelGoodFamily Oh wow! Good guess :) Yes I bet you're counting your blessings. I went through IVF and have two miracles who are now 25 & 22 and I'm still counting my blessings. My husband and I are organising ourselves so we can travel next year. He's retiring the end of this year and I'm sorting out my online business so I can do some travel while working. So we're busy researching cars and caravans and towing capacities. We want to get it right. Can't wait to start and you guys have been such an inspiration! Just love your chanel and Insta

Love the Gemfields, recommend staying at Lake Maraboon and doing day trips to Rubyvale/Sapphire.... stop into Rubyvale Gem Gallery and say hi to the Brown Family, an amazing family and story! Please say hello to Peter, Ilene and Mitch from the Feel Goods 😊👍

Hahahaha you guys did exactly what we are planning to do when we hit the road in regards to the toilet n coffee 🤣. I have a 3.5yrs old toilet trained. We drove from Nygan to Cobar and didn't see the Silo art 😭 then from Cobar to white cliff then to Broken Hill. I hope u guys will stop at Cameron corner.

Fuel is cheaper than Melbourne suburbs, $1.61 per litre last week finally went to $1.58

This episode looks super divine. Great footage and presentation. a drone or go pro aside, what hand held camera do you use / recommend? Love your creativity.

Hey Dan, we also use a CanonM50, great value for a Canon, great colours and perfect for locked off shots as a video cam for ‘piece to camera’ shots.. I have just looked at a SonyZ1 and it gets a fantastic review but pushed the price just over $1k. Hope that helps - the GoPro9 is still the best cam we use for most shots (90%). For close up stills the iPhone 11/12pro is absolutely amazing!! Cheers

Hi Chris, power wise it hasn’t missed a beat! We travelled all over Tassie and it was great. The dream is a land cruiser down the track but for now we just saved up to get a suspension and GVM upgrade last week to help the towing position and that has made a wonderful difference to how it all feels 👍

What battery and inverter system do you have in this van? As this van is different to the battery Paul had done in Tasmania

We took the same system out of the previous van and had it installed in the new van 😊👍

Check out a complete Enerdrive system or the Victron... we ended up with a mix, it starts to get pretty expensive but awesome when it all works 😊👍
