jumping the gun is specific to marathons and means starting before you're meant to jumping the shark is related to a TV episode of a show where the escalation of craziness gets so over-the-top that it becomes silly either of those would apply to Szalami's wonder lol

Absolutely love this series. Each year is getting better and better. My suggestion for next time would be to make a bounty system, for example, you get two points when you Kill a player +1 for each player they've killed. That way there is incentive to attack stronger players as the prize is bigger. The one criticism i have with the current system is that players tend to pick on the weak ones and that's not so fun. For more interesting game play, i think this bounty system would help! Just my two cents. Much love, Drongo!

I love these octagon tournaments and Szalami has always been my favorite so its nice to see him persevering so well! One thing that i think could improve the experience of these casts would be if Drongo kept up with the chat, its one of the most amusing parts with these players and often you will talk about stuff theyve just discussed in the chat and it could be more integrated its a big part of these high level megarandoms... just a suggestion!

@@ducklingswarm5457 Even without eliminating Szalami and even without truly trying to get the sacred victory, 2 priest and a bunch of villagers building walls in the middle of the map would have been enough too force Don Artie to move his troops away from the wonder and give the landing a chance. With 2000 stone, you can get a pretty convincing lure.

Jumping the shark has to do with a show or movie series doing something crazy or unrealistic that seems absurd because they are out of good ideas. Its a reference to Fonzie jumping over a shark tank on a motorcycle.

Loved this series so far. Treason should be nerfed to once every 2 minutes. Constantly spamming that ability makes it pointless to run and try to survive.

Puppy's and Wam's points should be taken because of team playing and giving them edge to push others (which they did)...if anyone else was on the water (and not two brothers) they WOULD fight for it anf wouldn't have resources TO PUSH OTHERS! People need to konw how big is water eco in early game (basically its an cheap TC)

idk if they knew where the others were, but if your opponent on the water is on the other side of the map, they probably arent your priority in the first half of the game.

Wam's scout saw Puppy's docks at 02:53 so he was obviously aware of them and at around 7min mark the line of sight between "enemy" docks is there but he didn't know where is he on the map. And water is good in EARLY game you can see that Puppy spawned with one villager next to water and right away put the dock down (basically got an TC for food villagers) and both got boosted... IF anyone else was on that water they would 100% fight because it's everyone fighting for themselves and everyone is an enemy!

@@aleksandarzoric2452You understand it costs resources to fight on water, right? One Archer ship is 240 res (2 horsemen). One Springnald ship is 450 res (almost 2 Knights or 4 MAA)or . If you waste that much money in the early game, you're going to get killed by your neighbors. Puppy and Wam were very far from each other, so if they fought on water it would have been an absolute dumbass move and a waste of money when they have bigger threats nearby (Anot, Marinelord, Beasty). You only fight on water if your immediate neighbours/threats are also on the same water. There's a reason they're playing in OO2 and you aren't :V
