This game has one of the best openings I have ever seen. I'm so glad I still have it for the ps2.

I really loved how the game was "Scenarios", that showed possible outcomes that even could have been. Like how by blowing up the zombies, and not running, it almost implies the Raccoon City incident could have been stopped.

What makes outbreak so good is the fact that it was Capcoms way of showing us the story’s of other survivors aside from leon and Claire who not only been in the shithole of a city overrun by zombies , but what happened prior to the events of res 2 and how most of everything came about . (The fires , some of the explosions ,shit a lot of zombies were killed prior to res 2 sure it was still overrun but you saw how many zombies were in then streets in one of the in game cutscenes and in the res 2 opening

the intro scene and music theme was very cool in this game, would be perfect for a re2 remake x3

This might seem strange, but old resident evil zombies were the best. They were slow, moaning and genuinely scary. None of this hissing zombies that are on today's shows and movies. Its like the guy in charge of that department is 13 years old and thinks that just because zombies hiss and make mean faces are more scary. Please Capcom.... please bring back the old RE with the old zombies and monsters. Please...

Fallout universe took a nuclear war and lots of decades to have giant bugs, Umbrella managed to get it in one night

I always loved the fact that in the Outbreak Scenario, the "Canon" choice is to flee at the end, but if you blew up the zombies in the main street, it implies that Raccoon City would have been able to get the situation under control and things would have played out much differently because of it.

That cutscene on the walk bridge gave me chills.And when the game showed us just what exactly they were shocked about,all i could say is: ''Holy....SHIT''

This was the first resident evil game I had ever played, it holds much history for me, getting it for Christmas, having so much fun and then sleeping the night knowing that I am going to have many fun days with this game...

I love how all protagonists just so happened to be at the same place same time.

Outbreak is by far the most underrated part of the Resident Evil series. Capcom has SO MUCH potential to explore what it was like to survive in the city for a WEEK! The rampant infections, the police being overwhelmed with calls, RPD unable to do basic things (brush their teeth, take showers, etc.), people in early stages of infection, and all sorts of horrors! I'm even betting a shelved scenario might have been connected to the RE3 intro.

is always amazing for me the outbreak scenes or related games, like the upcomming game they announce on E3 where you are back again on Raccoon City, yet in that game is more of a Shooting hardcore game and not so into finding puzzles and solving them (for what I saw) still love to see several places of the orignal city, from streets to buildings, from tunnels to caves, from rivers to forests, all the games make the serie epic

@Outbreak4ever You have to be Mark it seems and you must remain in the bar w/ Bob after the zombies break in. The Will cutscene usually plays about a second after the cutscene where they break in.

What people dont understand saying the city could have been saved is that there were actualy 3 seperate outbreaks that caused raccoon city to fall , the mansion incident was never fully contained and continued to spread towards the city, the rats in the sewer spread the infection aswell and lastly there were minor incidents at the "Dead Factory" and in other labs that occured around this same time that ultimatley led to the water being infected via mansion outbreak , persons being infected from contaimenated food via rats also fecal matter and bites plus rats spread the infection from their corpse plus predatory animals. Then individuals from seperate incidents from other labs and the factory. Ultimatley anyone who drank water from the town was infected.

@reece798able I use the Hauppauge HD PVR with component cables. These cables make Outbreak look better than with A/V cables.

@reece798able PVR was 200 last I saw and you can use the component cables from the Ps3 for it. Those are pretty cheap. Oh, I also use Sony Vegas to adjust the brightness and saturation.

thank you for this video I recently got this game but it does not translate well over a Composite to HDMI convertor as a result all cutscenes are stupidly dark and I literally am staring at a near black screen during any cutscene

@cadamy4 Yep. For some reason, I thought that other levels had the same scenes (File 2 does), I'll add these deaths in the DD compilation.

For Bob to turn zombie, you must be playing on Very Hard. Anything else will result in Bob's suicide. If you had Bob on Very Hard at the roof, maybe you didn't get him to the cutscene trigger point?

@Seraph22x oh btw on decisions decisions how do i get the ending where your character turns into a zombie on the helicopter...i wanna know exactly how to get it do i dont bring the daylight with me during the final boss?

I think you missed some out... A cutscene happens when you miss the timer on the roof, it's not all to interesting just your character screams and then get's killed, just incase you missed it ^_^ And I apoligise if it was in there I was kinda skipping through :P

I'm hoping they release Outbreak File 1 & 2 on HD collection for the PS3, that would be awesome.

@reece798able Yep. No daylight on yourself. Also, you cannot have the pair character with you because you'll see the pair ending instead.
