I went for walk to Chinda Waterfall in Oita Prefecture’s Bungoono City. Right next to me was a historic stone hydropower dam, built in 1909. The falls, designated as a Registered Monument in Japan, have a distinct atmosphere and are very popular with photographers.
On the way to the waterfall, I stopped by a spring to draw some water. There are many fresh water springs near this area. During my walk, some locals sparked up cheerful conversations with me, leaving me with a warm feeling.
