Transforming our victorian home's yard one garden, outdoor project and plant a time! In this video we are doing some major gardening, planter designing with gorgeous annuals and setting up our raised beds! I’m also a fan of lilac tree/bush! Also have one that I inherited when I bought my home. Like yourself we have planted a butterfly tree, which quite frankly, has the same scent as a lilac bush, but my goodness, it certainly attracted the butterflies last year! Also have planted two other rose bushes, both red. Inherited a peach coloured rose bush, which has the most amazing scent! I’ve been contemplating planting a hydrangea bush, which I love as well. My husband built two big vegetable beds for both my son and myself to grow vegetables. Can’t wait to start eating the vegetables! As always, thoroughly enjoyed watching your vlog, enjoy getting inspiration from you!

I love lilacs! My grandma had a huge Bush outside her back door and when you opened the back door the whole house smelled sooo good.😊

Oh goodness congrats on the new baby!! Thats just awesome😊 I love the smell of gardenias, honeysuckle and wisteria! My mom had those shrubs right beneath her kitchen window, from the time i was a little girl..she called them her snowball bushes. Your yard looks gorgeous, as well as the window boxes!❤ I plant all different kinds and colors of begonias every year, the big yellow ones are my favorite. I had them in my hanging baskets last year, with the creeping jenny. Yours are so healthy & beautiful!! All the urns & planters are so gorgeous! As well as what's planted in your yard! Thank you so much for sharing all these beautiful flowers with us😊

Elizabeth! You give me the umph i need to get out and keep going on my yard! You and your husband work so great together! Congrats on GOD's latest blessing! My vibernums have been in for over 40 years and still going strong... i do have to cut them back each late fall to about 12 to 20 inches off ground...they return back to their big bushey 6+' tall status, but pretty! Elizabeth! Your annual Mother's Day yard spruce up and planting spree went to whole new level this year! Absolutely beautiful! And I love the raised beds - so much easier to care for and harvest from. Your window box looks spectacular and it's going to be even more so by summer. I only buy perennials for my flower gardens. The annuals are just to high to plant every year. Hosta would look good in your long flower boxes. Go to big stores, to there dumpsters and get card board fore your big pots.

Lilac is definitely my favorite flowering, bush. Gardenia and honeysuckle are also my favorites. We have a lot of azaleas around here. I live in Maryland.

I had the same primroses but each year they seem to get smaller and then just die. Hostas are a wonderful choice for shade as some varieties grow very fast and fill in a large area. They’re really beautiful in a mass planting. I have over 330 plants and over 1160 varieties. Which I have dug up and put in pots in a caged in area to keep the deer from finishing them off. Love your videos. Keep them coming. I need inspiration to get my yard in order as I’ve been in the same house since 1986.

I love Viburnum!! they smell amazing and my gramma had one on her walkway to the back door. That makes them extra special to me. I have one but it is not doing very well, may have to get another. I'm gonna check out Home Depot, I didn't know they had them!

I so enjoy your outdoor projects and all that you are doing in the yard. I know the inside of my house is on the back burner now that I can get outside. Also, love seeing you with your husband and sweet family! What a joy it is to see you all working together. I would love to see the front of your house now that the planters are filled. It is hard to see the big picture when showing the flowers up close sometimes. Living in the south it is very interesting seeing older homes and neighbourhoods. If you could, a walking video of your historic neighbourhood would be so fun. Please continue to share all that you do outside.! Thanks for your channel.

I was so excited to see that baby bump...Congratulations!🌿 Lilacs are my favorite...one of the biggest things about Michigan that I miss so much.. and rain...and the warm morning sunshine....and the primroses are beautiful...did you know they are a bible plant from the Holy Land? Your property is beautiful ! You mentioned that you love lilacs, as do I. May I suggest planting a Miss Kim lilac? The fragrance is out of this world. I have one planted off of my deck & the fragrance travels through the French doors and into my home! You will love it..happy gardening❤

Hi Elizabeth, I love portwine magnolias and mock-orange for their wonderful perfumes, even though their flowers aren’t anything to write home about., Our climates are so different I’m not sure if you could grow them through your harsh winters. Doesn’t matter really, anything with a perfume is a bonus for a garden - lilacs, roses and wisteria are lovely to look at and have great perfumes as well. I see by some of the comments I’ve missed you saying you were pregnant. Congratulations to you and your husband.🦘🇦🇺

I am curious if you are planning to leave the boxwoods out all winter and if so could we revisit them next spring to see how they do in our Michigan winters. I’ve always shied away from them due to winter burn. Things are looking very nice and you will really like the nonstop begonias IF we don’t get so much rain that they rot. These are my husband’s favorite flower so I use them on our deck landing so I can control the moisture levels. Congratulations on your upcoming addition to the family Elizabeth. Coming from a large family I always get excited about new life. I had 8 other brothers and sisters and there was never a quiet moment when we were awake. Watching your littles I see a great deal of activity in your world too with more on the way!!!:):):)

Hi Vicki! My boxwoods in the ground did fine throughout the winter and I don’t even cover them. I don’t think they had any burn thankfully. The ones in the planter I will need to transplant in the ground for winter or bring them inside. I’m so thankful for another little blessing 🥰

How many bags did you use in the raised beds?? I put logs in first it would have cost too much doing like you did I got 500 dollar raised bed to get a 50 cent tomato lol
