Not sure if worthy of it's own video, but my unconventional offroader is my 2500 chevy avalanche. 8.1L powered with a full float 14 bolt. The back wall folds down in the avalanche so you can camp inside your cab below your tonneau covers. It’s perfect for me!

Awesome video. I love my '21 even though I won't ever take it crawling. I bought it for towing a RV and modified it as such. Trans cooler, Cat Shield, air bags, TRD rear swaybar, scangauge2 for trans temp, and eventually Borla dual exhaust.

Another great video! Bought my 18 Tundra last year after being more of a 4Runner guy and wish I had bought a Tundra 15 years ago. I went straight to 37s too because anything this big should have 37s! They're small BFG 37s though. 2.5" lift and they clear everything but sway bar when turning very hard left or right. But rubbing is racing

I have a 2008 tundra limited. I bought it at 100k miles. I have 155k on it now and I have spent $35.00 in necessary repairs. That is not including of course maintenance costs like oil, filters, tires. I am a big fan of Jeep Gladiators, so if you want to do a video on them, that would be awesome! This was a great video!
@dasfahrer8187
@dasfahrer8187 Ай бұрын
The "upgrades" rabbit hole needs to come with a disclaimer of it's completely dependent on what you'll be doing and whether or not you want to (and have the ability to) get the truck up on a lift to tune suspension and tinker with it. Even "easy" click adjusters can be a hassle for most people. Most upgrades aren't necessary anyhow as the vast majority of people won't ever be doing what you're showing in the video, so that money can be better put to use elsewhere. Also, people should keep in mind that tires are getting SUPER expensive (a new set of 35x12.5x18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers x 5 is around $2200!) so be sure you really, REALLY need something that big when a 32-33" will be more than just fine in the vast majority of cases, cost less, and will cause fewer fitting issues.

This is a great video! I used to have a 2012 Tundra rock warrior(before the trd pro was a thing) I’m currently looking to buy another tundra. I definitely don’t want a new 3rd gen and I’m sure you know why lol. When I sold my tundra it had 100k miles and still felt new. I’m looking at some 2021 tundras and need your opinion. Most 2021 tundra pros run about 50-55k with 50k miles or less. I’ve seen one for sale for 39k but has 108k miles. If I buy the cheaper one I can start doing my overland build because of my money I’m saving. Would you buy a tundra with that many miles? CARFAX looks like it was well maintained.

Hi Nate! I think you missed a talking point unless I missed it. To my recollection one of the main reasons the Tundra got "trail cred" as an offroading full size is that it has 4,000 lb axles. I don't own a Tundra so by all means let me know if I'm mistaken.
