I gave up duck hunting after I lost my dog. To me the best part was watching my dog work. He was pet first and hunting dog second, but he never didn’t come back with the duck. Watching this video reminded me of how much I miss him…. I think it’s time for a new puppy… thanks for sharing!

One thing I would suggest from a training aspect. Wait for the bird to completely fall and take a second to send the dog. Sending her prior to the fall does 2 things. It promotes breaking/unsteadiness and it also doesn’t allow her to properly focus on exactly where the bird landed. Allowing her to focus all the way through the fall will improve her marking. She is coming along nicely and it is cool to see the enjoyment others get from their dogs just like me.

We really like your show! Registered for you decoy give away. I am about to turn 70 and have 5 labs in my life time and really miss the companionship while hunting. I hunt alone most of the time and a hunting dog pays dividends in many ways. Going to hunt my property tomorrow (where the MO and Nemaha Rivers meet). Keep up the great work!

Nice work we had a great hunt this past weekend too we end up with 16 ducks and 4 honkers. Its always nice to work your dog alone to get where you want them to be I like how she so full of energetic jumping off to retrieve great hunt.

I loved watching that hunt. My favorite type of weather to hunt ducks in. I would have sworn that second hen was a drake and was surprised to see it was a hen. Great dog work especially on the duck that was diving. Without the dog I think that would have been a lost duck. Thanks for posting the video.

Nice that Cora got 6 good returns in row. Were you using 20 ga. Most those ducks were still kicking! You need hot dog for those. Love the way she found that bird under water! Nice! I look forward to those flocked decoys!
