Im a logger and am currently logging a 200 acre tract. I run good equipment with mufflers and its not loud for logging equipment. (Logging is kinda noisy).....got a neighbor from up north who comes down to the NC mountains for the summer. 2 weeks ago he comes out and stops me and DEMANDS i stop my operation because hes on vacation and im ruining it with noise. I treat him with reapect and professionalism and explain that im working for the landowner and following his instructions. For a solid week daily ive had the forest service and law enforcement on my job because of his constant calling them. They have been very kind and apologetic. So this week i decided to introduce him to real mountain logging. Im now skidding my logs with 2 FRANKLIN skidders with 453 detroits and straight pipes......so far hes been really impressed

@@jasonvoorhees5640 the other side of the fence is his property. The side they are working on is open to the public. I'm not saying they can't clean it up. And I commend them for doing it. All I am saying is that it is public easement. The guy can't tell them not to clean it not even the county can tell them not to clean it, as public property is first come first serve, first in line is first on time. They have a right to use the property for the intentions of cleaning it. Those aren't criminal intentions. They are doing right and the guy that is telling them that he will call the cops on them is the one wrong especially for wasting tax paid services on a no crime situation. Put the public is aloud to walk right up and touch that fence. They can ease themselves for a rest right there in the grassy part. The public can assemble there between the road and the fence for a protest or other demonstration such a a park and show car show if they want, as a car show would be a peaceful assembly. The public could show up there to hold church services and then they would be exercising three of the provisions in the first amendment, possibly four if the assembly for church services held are in and of itself a protest of something or other. When I was much younger, I had a welding business and was working by myself at a newly drilled oil well location. Now landowner vs oil companies weren’t unheard of, but most got along because the oil business was almost as old as farming in my neck of the woods. Anyway a landowner, who I knew by name and reputation only drove up and walked over to me. “You know you’re trespassing don’t you, obviously playing up to my young appearance. I told him who I was working for and I was going to finish my job. He called the sheriffs department and when they got there, they told him to leave me alone. I was pretty sure I was in my rights, but it was sure gratifying to have it demonstrated so emphatically.
