Loved the show and these recaps. Amy turning into Autumn made my heart sad, I was hoping it was Royal's long-lost sister who broke down due to time travel.

The person I feel the most sorry for is Cecilia. She loses literarily everything. If it is possible to go back in time, run from Royal, Cici! Or better yet, let’s have Royal just know to not shoot the deer (because he can go back in time you know and like a video game, come back to try again) and thus not shoot his dad. But then I guess there wouldn’t be a story or maybe the story is that, after all is said and done , time can be tweaked (but only by Royal and Autumn/Amy)?

I found out about the show a little late and I was able to binge all episodes in a couple of days. Considering the pacing of the show, I think that may be better than watching it over 4 weeks. I really enjoyed it and hope for a sesaon 2 but will wait to binge all episodes of that too.

One quick thing I will mention because I just finished the series myself, is that Royal's speech to Ceci is NOT the same as in the opening. It is ALMOST identical, but for one(maybe two) words. He says "buckshot" in the opening and "bullet" in the speech to his wife. Two different versions meaning that there are two different variations already?

I dont think Autumn( older Amy)... is from the future. I think she and Rebecca escaped to the past! She grew up in the past, these last 20ish years.....with a memory gap of the fact she went back (bipolar has already confirmed physiological issues). Coming back to the farm is awakening memories and the future that Royal saw with her as a cult leader is still to come. If she was from the future, she would have at least had some idea about forming the cult if Royal's time travel was only +- 2 years from now. the time gap is too small for her to be from the future with this little direction / plan. Her little rock may have given her glimpses but thats all.

I was waiting for your final video and ended up being late watching it. Thanks for your recaps/theories…. And all the laughs. I think I saw Perry in Royal’s vision of the future, but not Rhett… I was hoping I’d see Billy too, and somehow he’d survive, but he wasn’t there….Wayne and Luke were. I think Amy knew to get up and leave at the last rodeo the same way Ceci knew she was gone… may be related to Luke digging and opening up the portal again. I didn’t think Rebecca left because of Perry until the last episode when the show made a point about showing Perry’s uncontrollable rage from childhood. Royal accidentally killed his dad but Perry would go on deadly rages and get out acting all normal again. I loved the show and think it answered more questions than people giving it credit for….looking forward to season 2.

Well done. I really doubt Perry's dead. I think he will show up exactly 4 days later in a random spot on the land like Trevor did. This will correspond with him needing to be back for his bail hearing in four days and he may or not make it in time. If there is a season 2 i hope it opens with Karl the county assessor and the land dispute hearing that was supposed to take place. That loose end bugged me.

I know I'm late to this conversation, but I'm hoping I can get some feedback here. I find that Autumn and Billy's characters seem to be expressed as though seen through a childs perspective. Maybe both of them are children of the past (obviously Amy is one of the children) who are seeing the events play out through a childs eye view. Maybe they or just Autumn are imagining this whole story and we are seeing through their eyes?

Been wondering if Royal's relation to the void is different from anyone else. After all, when he falls through that hole in the first episode everybody seems to have been expecting him: His wife, Rhett, Perry, Luke, Wayne, Sheriff Joy and Autumn. Question is why? Is Royal causing major issues by jumping in and out of the time stream? Is that why Celia tells him to run? When Autumn recites the myth of Chronos did she hear that from Royal originally? If so, did she recite it to jog his memory? BY9, Beta Upsilon and the number nine which could represent a completion of a life cycle after which the sequence reverts to zero, as indicated by the numbers on the clocks on the other side of the void. Questions, questions......great commentary, btw.

I actually really loved Baby Billy and his songs 😂 I hope they can time jump him back to life for s2! He's a wild card for sure. Now knowing that Autumn is Amy, it makes me think that she harbored a crush on Billy from age 9 to whenever she got back and found him, and all their WEIRD make out scenes were like... Idk just more funny. 😂 They are both a trip, can't wait for next season.

I waited a long time for your review, and I was not disappointed. I thought there might be a better Eddie Murphy reference like, "When Billy start singing, the Bison stop charging" in reference to Mr. Murphy's quote about the Bus Boys (band) from his Delirious stand-up which you are definitely familiar with. But seriously your analysis is always dead on. You're too good. However, we need it for these low budget sci-mystery shows. Your content complements the show itself and is often well researched and hilarious. BTW. I don't mind the bad CGI, 'cause, when these shows are too expensive, they never last more than one season. It's about the crazy people with this show, and its very interesting. What to watch/review next? What about the second season of Invasion?

I think 7&8 lost the feel that the first 6 had started to establish. Was hoping this show would be the American Western version of DARK. Fully thought out. But it feels more like Lost with an ungrounded story. I hope I'm wrong. But the 'artistic' film moments dont make it easier to get through (the singing, the making out, the bison hole).

Episodes 5&6 were making me think it was no longer worth watching, but I gotta admit they really pulled it out in 7&8. The gun fight, chase!!! Autumn and Billy kissing, looks like two people who read about kissing, but have never actually seen kissing. I think Perry is alive and Rhett isn't leaving town. Autumn probably orchestrated Rebecca's disappearance/reappearance. I've never taken the position that the Abbotts and Tillersons were particularly different in honesty or humanity. (two sides of the same coin) Both families are fracturing under pressure like a rock in a vice. Hate Cecilia for needless killing the CGI bear, just get in the truck and drive bitch!

All you did was the list the scenes chronologically -- This stupid confusing mess of a show CANNOT be "Explained" because it was a nonsensical disaster and I"m PISSED that I wasted 8 hours on it.

I can't stand autumn. The actress makes me not want to watch this interesting show. She plays a very unlikable psychotic. An approach to a more likable crazy ass character would have made this show #1 for myself. With that said, From and severance tie and take the #1 spot.

My issue with the show is they don't show the motivation of autumn enough to make me know if she's an antagonist or protagonist. I don't care about Rhetts story. It's the typical small town guy trying to make it big which has been done to death already. Perry can just stay in that whole for all I care, royals wife is just annoying and her whole crisis of faith isn't compelling. Autumn trying to kill royal came out of no where. And I only care about royal because it's Josh Brolin. The only interesting thing about the show is time travel but without knowing how it works its just a maguffin at this point.

I missed the last two episodes. It was so bad, prime took it off, PRONTO.
