A great tip I stumbled across is-for every scene-your character has two Choices. One is fuelled by the Lie. The other by the Truth. Depending on the situation in the scene, they can either react using their Lie Choice or by their Truth Choice. In the beginning (if the character needs to change) they will always choose their Lie Choice. Because it’s familiar, and what they’ve known. But the Truth Choice will be an option for them to take even in those scenes. So both options are there, but the character will remain close to their Lie at first.

Not sure if this was already covered - but what if yes, the veil only opens a few times of year but a key is also required. Whether a real key or the power of the royal blood of fae, etc... So Mara has to get close to love interest, gain his trust (which he has feelings from the jump so not too hard, but it gives her conflict because she wants to hate him but the more she gets to know him...) So, in the end, to free family she must betray him and steal key to get family out. ??

I am loving these outlining videos! I have a question for you, Bethany. I have the Butter Book Document and I know we aren't supposed to copy out the things you put in it for structure, but since I bought the ebooks of both of Jessica Brody's Save The Cat! novels, is it okay if I copy out your questions for my own brainstorming/outline? I like how you structured it all, but if you say no, that's fine. I can do my own thing, too, lol.

Hey Bethany! Thanks for doing these outlining videos, super inspiring. I'm a student of Jessica's at the writing mastery academy and own both STC novels and I am currently watching Abbie's videos on KZfaq. I'm just struggling a bit with how to get my own outlining Google doc to look like yours lol. How do you highlight the whole page behind the writing yellow? My brain makes me get stuck on the silliest things.

Most of the time in fairy stories the veil is thin only on the spring and autumnal equinoxes.
