This town still has its original walls intact AND is located along southern Germany's "Romantic Road." We explore its gorgeous architecture, sample some local food, and visit the Christmas market. Row ten burg. We were there in 2018. Fascinating. Also I was stationed in Germany for 2 1/2 years. Having my son stand in the same place where I was 43 years ago was unbelievable.

If you want to correctly pronounce Rothenburg, it is Rowtenburg! The o is always oh, unless it has the the two dots above the vowel! !

Pronounced Rotenburg op der Towber… Long O’s and ow as in, “Ow!”

This video brought back a few memories for me. I traveled to Schweinfurt for work and a few of my German colleagues said I should check out Rothenburg. So, I drove about 90 minutes through the countryside in a MANUAL transmission VW Golf. It was so much fun. Then, I visited the town and it was so cool to see the wall surrounding a medieval town. They actually have a medieval museum that has armor, weapons and so many other amazing relics from the past. Anyway, I enjoyed the memory through your visit to this incredible gem of a town.
