Hey, I know the Video is a few months old by now. But its pretty fun to randomly stumble upon someone reviewing one of my bases. Nr 3. if its not obvious from the name :)

So on nano, circular towers, if you build the triangles out away from the tower, Then place the square foundation, you can build the triangles into an existing square. I did this about four big patches ago playing around with building mechanics to find way around stare and One by one foundations.

i think in this new update you don't need more than 2 406. amp give 30% damage and +10% ammo consumtion. i place 10 for 406 and it deal ton of damage to boss but use 6 shell per shot. i don't know if we can put more than 10. but it would be nice if we can. imagine put 30 amp on 406 900% more damage per shot. also wing of freedom decoration is premium item. you get from buy premium version.

Most recent patch notes specifically state that there is no additional boost past 10 damage amplifiers, so max +300% damage and +100% ammo consumption.

You can hide the right side menu with the little arrow pointing at it, if you wanna have a bit more screen space for these showcases, it does cover almost half the screen afterall xD

regarding the core tower Hight , you can build above it (but has the spawn location as a blocker where you cant build above it ) , i have my build of 7 floors (there is a Hight limit where you cant build on the 8th floor) , where i put hellfire's on top , then mech bays (takes 3 floors ) , then 3 cannons + artillery (uses 2 floors) , then main fire line floor , then bottom floor for batteries /boosters )

There is a way to overlap items like that, it involves placing down an object, picking it up, moving it where you want it, then hit delete, then hit Undo. I havent tried it yet as it wasnt necessary but i saw someone talking about it

One thing thats interesting that I've found playing this game so far is how unecessary Hellfire seems. I'm into City 3, so maybe I'm just not pushing hard enough, but I run a base with tons of Bottom Mounted MGs, 30mm everywhere and like 1 hellfire and 7 CIWS(2 on sides, 5 front facing for Kronos missiles), 4 smart mortars, and 4 105mm artillery, with normal autoloaders(not advanced) refilling everything, and nothing threatens my base at all. I just run around filling autoloaders. I've set up my base such that my ceiling MGs, and CIWS target small at highest priority, ignore medium 30mms ignore small entirely, large prio smart mortars are large prio, ignore small 105s massive only(direct fire, large ok after kronos dies) the one Hellfire ignores small, large prio My base feels so ammo efficient. I can manually run around filling my 10 auto loaders and they might need 1-2 as I run by. I basically never need shoot my gun. The one, not unique, but interesting thing I did was I set my 30mm to have different max ranges in pairs. first is the full 8000(or 10000 for my twin barrels, only have a couple). then the next pair at 7900, next 7800, etc. This is so they don't all alplha strike a single medium bot and blow ammo when it died 4 30mm shells ago. So they have a rippling fire, and if the bot is still alive, the second pair volley, etc. And if there's more in range, because of the small delay it still prevents them from all omega blasting one thing cause their fire isn't synced anymore. Now maybe this isn't sustainable in infinite, city 5, or if I booty blast myself with tons of +30% HP mutator comms. But this is with an ATC 10 base with ground and very little second floor turret saturation, and 2400 Core Output

100% your setup is great for what your up to but the hard core infinite mode will be very difficult. Be interesting to test how it goes as it stands right now. Let me know but your base sounds awesome for the stage your in :)

You can save your safefile, if you are concerned about loosing your outpost layout. Most of these are survival builds, arent they? I have over 17k energy and i cant make i tour with skipping all nodes and getting all bonus reward cards atm.

Is there a guide for starter base or for kronos becouse im not sure if i can take him with what i have farming the winter map fore some more upgrades but so far no luck only got the minigun and 30mm guns and i got a golden container where i get a autoloader and a ciws but im not sure if i have them permanent if i use them

The item deployable turrets that go in your inventory last the tour IF they're placed on your base, they'll came along for the ride between zones, but will disappear after the tour is over or if you just place them on the ground, they go away as soon as you move to a different zone (make sure to configure them!) One tip there if you find them during the tour before recovery day, you can send them into the recovery crate, and in the UI where you choose what to extract, you can click on the inventory thing in the top left and it allows you to move stuff back to your direct inventory, so you can pull back out any consumables, ammo, etc you sent away during your explorations. Kronos is not as dangerous as he looks honestly. The major thing he does is the missile barrages, which you would probably need 3+ CIWS to shoot them all down. Though some may bleed through still. The missile pods can be destroyed though to reduce the number he fires. But the missiles won't one shot your turrets or anything. I was lucky and had found 2 comms with component regen and he didn't kill a thing. So even one of those can be a godsend. Your best bet initially is to engage him at range yourself is with your XEN Gun, bring a big damage XEN in a slot, stack it with Chain and Condenses you might have and drill weakpoints(red panels). Good mid game morphs would be things like Heavy, Pinpoint Explosion(I think thats the name, the one that calls down 4 lighting strikes). these heavy cooldown XEN have little to no damage falloff or bullet drop so you can point and click at him. And use Electric Ammo as well, that gives a great damage boost when trying to bring him down. From the outpost side - If you can swing it, even the prewar artillery do significant damage to him. Set them to direct fire, max range, and massive only and 4 of them with a full shell mag dump will probably do over half its health and start firing the second he drops in. In your build you can set target priorities, but direct/auto fire you have to do in the tour. Scans now permanently mark blueprints in zones, you should be able to find any you're missing and make some. Just be sure they have clear lines of fire. Indirect fire has a significantly shorter max range. OH, also, in the snow recovery day holdout, there should be about 6 free pre-war artillery pieces on the map. 2 by the tower to the front left, 2 against the wall to the front right up a hill, and 1-2 by where the dropship lands actually on the walls. When you load into the holdout, configure those the same way, direct, massive only, autofire. Do what you can to protect those with all your free turrets you've accumulated from the comm stations in the tour and whatever decipher emplacements you can drop. Wall of text crits for 10k. @@Robin00607 Heavy, Pinpoint Explosion are excellent(both blue), basically anything with a longer than primary fire type cooldowns. Even the green divine might morph is an excellent starter XEN for dropping the hammer on something, especially when running the non standard ammo types. Electric ammo is something nutty like a flat 20% bonus to damage while loaded to anything you fire, so you can bring a few stacks of that along just for kronos. If you have vendors unlocked an electric ammo box is like just a few hundred credits or something and has 3000 rounds in it from the one vendor woman who's always there. Keep in mind, you can steal any morphs in guns you've found by replacing it at home via Yulia(Girl next to research man) with another morph you don't care about. Injecting in this game trades out the morph, it doesn't delete the existing one. Blue Marksman core guns should always have a heavy mod installed you can steal for example. You can also just rip out any passive XEN they come with. In the absence of chain or condense passive XENs - Strong is good for straight extra damage, and Light Strike is another great option. Fun thing with light strike, each instance of bonus damage(its % based on the damage of the morph you're firing) gets better with additional light strikes, so with example numbers, 1 light strike might do 20% as bonus damage per hit(120% total), but with 2 light strikes you do two instances of say 25% damage per hit(150% total). so not only is each light strike making each one better, its also adding another hit. Light strikes will also apply to every enemy hit by any AOE morphs for extra fun number explosions. That Yulia XEN menu also has a shooting range button on the bottom right. You can put into your backpack any XEN you wanna try and just pop into that, experiment and even use ammo types to see their effect without losing anything(ammo is free, don't need to bring it in). Exiting the shooting range does revert all XEN changes though, so if you find something you like, make a note and then redo it after exiting. OH, finally, Heavy Barrel is wild. The gun attachment, not a XEN. Just a flat 50% damage boost to everything. slows your XEN cooldown fire rates by 50%, but you hit like a truck

in my playthrough. when i fight kronos for the first time im using free artillery direct fire mode and turn one of my xen to heavy with march on + multiplier. just focus on shoot weakspot and you will be fine.

@@Robin00607 YT keeps deleting my posts and I don't know why. I had a whole thing typed up. But short short version. Heavy or Pinpoint Explosion or Divine Might are good high damage blue/green morphs. You can always take morphs from any guns you found by trading them out at the girl in the tech lab. Sharpshooter gun always has a Heavy Morph you can snag. She also in the bottom right has the shooting range and you can bring any XENs you wanna test in your backpack to experiment. Light strikes stack and improve each other, strong is good flat extra damage. Heavy Barrel is a 50% damage boost for 50% longer cooldown, very worth it

What else are you supposed to spend money on? Also, I've never personally seen a red reagent component like Uranium, Xen Soil, or Nanoprocessors in the store. instant loot always gives you less that what you would've gotten than doing an on the ground exploration. Its a factor of time vs reward, and how much juice your base has to afford the double power cost. I could spend 4 hours manually looting everything, or quick loot low value spots, actually loot monument locations, and do recovery day in 1/4th the time albeit for less rewards. Not to mention, spamming quick loot means you'll have less prep, fewer materials, and fewer comm boosts to actually handle recovery day. It all about what your base can handle, and reducing the grind as a reward for stronger outposts.
