I love this show, out of all the “white trash” criminal shows around the world this one stands far above them all. All the characters feel believable and even through some scenes of bad acting and questionable storyline’s it can all be excused because of how well written it all is, it feels like a real family with real people and real history. I’ve only just started watching Westside and have been enjoying it so far as throughout OF you hear spurts of storyline’s from characters pasts, particularly from the great Ted West and I’m sure it’ll be a treat seeing more of these unfold in the prequel. Thank you to everyone who made this show it’s kept me and my family entertained again and again (we’ve watched the OF DVD set more times than we’d like to admit)

These people certainly did lack morals and Cheryl was so terribly hypocritical in order to try to make Judd's wrongs right. I hated these people but couldn't stop watching the show.

Bahaha! No way in the world would I allow my kids to talk to me like that! Cheryl was the matriarch but she did things only a complete idiot would do, like sit by as a woman she once hated takes out life insurance on her son! Love the show, can't put it down

A show like this would only be on premium television channels in America because of the sex and language and lack of morals. Sounds as if it was on regular channels in NZ. Everyone doesn't want to pay for premium stations here. I would be in the lockup if I had children like that. You don't disrespect your parents no matter how rotten they are when you are living under their roof. Getting angry and breaking dishes, screaming and cursing me out, slamming doors in my face, screwing in my house at young ages and stealing, getting expelled from school, not going to school ar all, that is too much for any parent to put up with. Wayne said Loretta was good at lying, Exactly what lies did she tell? If anything sometimes she was too honest Wayne was good at BS and people fell for his mess. I can't believe Pascalle and Wolf put Loretta out. There is just no way in hell I would have allowed that Pascalle would go out there and bring all of Loretta's stuff back in and put it where it belongs. She's not working. She ought to be able to take care of her mother. Wolf would no longer be allowed in my house. Loretta only acted in a way her mother allowed her to act. I can understand Wolf being angry but he went too far Pascalle had no right to involve herself in that at all I can't believe Pascalle had the nerve to say Cheryl didn't love Wayne. She proved time and time again that she did. Maybe Pascalle made that ridiculous statement to make herself feel better about what she was doing.

Yea, there's so much in the show that show's bad parenting. The police questioned us once and the stolen goods were right beside us, in clear view but no one was arrested. Criminals rely a lot on dogdy and lazy cops. I couldn't stand Judd... Pascall was seriously spoilt and my kids have spoken to me like that, probably once that I remember when they were little 😆. The family I married into was criminal and that's what drove them.. and nowadays half don't speak to the other half. My kids are bogan, can't help that, but they work and are the best grown ups I know 😁💚☮

The actor who plays Wayne Judd needs to learn what to do with his hands. The hands-on the hips and the folded arms got ridiculous after a while. Those are things you do mostly in disgust. You could tell he had no idea what to do with his hands. Loretta for me was the one I liked most. She started out being mean and disrespectful although very smart and ended being the best in the bunch, Van made me laugh all the way through the series as did Kasey and Rochelle. I loved Wolf and Jethro although they had no morals they never pretended to be anything other than what they were. You know how to deal with those kinds of people. You just stay away from them or accept them for who they are. The only thing I liked about Cheryl was the way she took Loretta's baby until Loretta was ready to accept her. Many, many kudos to Cheryl for that. Other than that I thought she was a horrible example of a mother

I didn't know how to deal with those people, I married into them! Bahaha! I honestly don't know anyone in NZ who doesn't know a "West" family... I agree that Cheryl wasn't the best mum.. she cooked every night for her grown up kids lol.. but she rocked as a bogan mum. 😁💚☮

@@musicmad67 I’m so jelly, I live in a small, boring, southern town in the US so, my chance of running into any of the cast are probably nil. This is my favorite show of all time!

@@nikkiworm254 And I've always wanted to travel to the States, go figure! Here's another one... my daughter, who used to work in a car dealership, mentioned to me that Pascalll used to go to her job a lot. It's my favourite show as well. We all know where that house is too, but it has been bought by a developer and it's going to be torn down next week. Everyone goes to the house and takes their photo from outside. 😁

Sara Wiseman was the worst. Her acting was awkward, and bought the worst out of Antony Starr. He felt contrived and I didn't believe him

Cheryl was a terrible mother. Her kids were the way they were because she made them that way. There is such a thing as being too tolerant if we are honest this was good entertainment but very few of us had mothers like her thank God. It would never enter my mind to curse my mother and I am grown. If her children had been right all with the exception of Loretta because she was a minor should have packed up and left when Cheryl made the decision to force this man down their throats. I really think they need to identify who those twins of Sheree belong to. It's never mentioned that they could belong to the father. She was still sleeping with him regularly. Although they still belong in the family they could easily be Van and Jethro's brother and sister and not the children of either of them. Van thinking they are his even though Jethro did try to tell him why he couldn't remember sleeping with Sheree that night. Jethro not knowing if they are his or not and their dad not really feeling responsible at all.

Cheryl raised them as pretty much a single mother and married into a family who only knew about crime and corruption. She tried to change them and do whats right for her kids but wolf played a huge part in keeping them in the west ways. In the end she tried her best to support all her children and their mistakes.

@@1KQ_ Cheryl herself was into crime in her younger days. Being a single mother doesn't excuse the mess Cheryl allowed her children to get away with.
