Finishing moves in fighting games exist for you to end your opponent with a dramatic flourish or display of over-the-top force. But some fighters didn’t get the memo and have come bearing finishing moves that, although apparently effective, are also totally ridiculous, and that they should be embarrassed for using.
Don’t take our word for it, check out these seven embarrassing finishing moves that fighting game characters should be ashamed of. Enjoy, and subscribe for more videos like this from Outside Xbox!

OMG! THANK YOU! Without that aspect, Flash is just jumping into a new timeline in which that did not happen. So, when you complete the game as Flash, you left the reality in which you started... leaving your side without Flash and probably losing the battle at the end. Well, unless that Flash was replaced by the Flash that simply stopped existing in the reality you spawned, but it's more likely he jumped to the past to create his own spin-off of the timeline you created. Not closing the storytelling time travel loop made it super-annoying with that one little detail.

Fighting games always have to nerf-down the top dogs and boost the underdogs to make the game relatively fair. If they did a direct translation, it would instant-kill any opponent who has a soul, while doing nothing to all others. I agree with how you'd translate that, being akin to a "desperation attack" that does more damage the lower your health bar. The only way to not make that OP is the scaling involved. I mean, a guy totally owning you with 100% health, and you have a single drop of health away doing that should not be able to instant-kill him if you, by some luck, squeeze off a Penance Stare. However, I do see it as coming close to that. Also, for game theatrics, the dropped guy should manifest like that cheesy Nicolas Cage version of Ghost Rider with it... a blackened corpse if killed by it. All the fighting game characters have enough evil in their past to justify that.

@@That80sGuy1972 I think a better way would be to just double the damage dealt for each party member the target has KO'd. So if someone's using a point character who downs two members, one Penance Stare would deal 400% damage.

Also causality is maintained because if time travel worked the way it should work, then that's how the sphinx's nose was always broken. Also those dinosaurs are all extinct now anyway, so who cares. Still, the go around the world thing is canonical - in fact he can keep on doing it over and over faster and faster, which is actually pretty smart. Revisiting when you did "Finishers you'd rather NOT be receiving", there's Kitana's Deadly Kiss Brutality from MK11. If she finishes you with a grapple, instead of performing the full throw, she'll kiss your cheek and cause your body to explode. Normally that's pretty bad. Oddly enough, Bret Hart's basement is, in fact, an important location in the history of pro wrestling. Well, technically, it'd be Stu Hart's basement (Bret's dad). It was called the Hart Dungeon, because that's where Stu Hart set up his training facility to teach up and coming wrestlers. Some of the folks to come out of there included Mark Henry, Edge, Justin Credible, Lance Storm, Natalya, Roddy Piper and a bunch more.

I have one, Cassandra's critical finish, Soul Calibur. Cammy from Street Fighter may be the originator of these leg throws and groin grabs. From there they have been done by Aska in Tournament Fighters, Kasumi in Dead or Alive, there's a wrestling move called the Dudebuster which is basically teabagging and Sophitia's is one of the most blatant where she giggles at the prospect of...no easy way to put this, forcing you to service her. Her sister Cassandra Alexandra however takes this to the next level. Her finishing move involves her jumping on an opponent's face into a squat and gliding across it. Multiple times. Squarely addressing what she’s doing. The camera angle obscures whether it's her back end or her front end that she's forcing her foe on but given Sophitia is basically forced...yeah, we get the point these girls are basically pleasuring themselves on you.
@shawnfields2369
@shawnfields2369 Жыл бұрын
I agree. Cassandra should be embarrassed for using that as her Critical Finish, because we both know that she could've come up with a better one, probably. She didn't need to sit down on you and keep literally rubbing her butt into your face, like she thought she were either Cammy, or Kasumi, but I guess Cassandra must play alot of Dead or Alive, or Street Fighter? It'd be less embarrassing if it weren't Cassandra's Critical Finish, but were instead her back grab, or front grab. But I can't believe Sophitia would have a finishing move, like that, in the first place. But then again, I've also never played Broken Destiny, because I never owned a psp...I stopped playing the series for a while after SC4; (until SC5 came out in 2012), but I had the 360 version of SC4, with Yoda from Star Wars as a playable character, because I'm not really a fan of Star Wars in the first place. But I love the SC series. I was also, ironically, pretty good as Yoda, and the other Star Wars guest character, Star-Killer. And eventually, when I got a ps3, I bought the ps3 version, and playing as Darth Vader was fun; too. But I do remember seeing Cassandra's CF on another video, and I thought it was hilariously bad too. But Sophitia's CF, was way more embarrassing, because Sophitia would never; and I mean NEVER, even THINK of doing something like that in the first place, especially as a finishing move. But, what about Dampierre? His Critical Finish is way more embarrassing. Like everyone else and their sister keeps commenting, he literally cons you into giving him a SINGLE coin, after he tells you one of the most stupid and longest sob stories of all time. But if his CF doesn't make it into the Commenter's Edition of this video; I hope either Cassandra's or Sophitia's will, and if not, maybe Voldo's? Also, while I did stop at SC4, i started with SC2, (but it was the GCN version the best version of SC2, in my opinion), and I played every other entry that came afterwards, (except Broken Destiny), but I definitely wanted to...
@tsstevensts
@tsstevensts Жыл бұрын
@@shawnfields2369 You wouldn't think but there it is. Heaven's Arch. And while Kasumi may look comfortable doing these moves as she sits there for several seconds Sophitia addresses that this is forced servicing. Play the first Soul Calibur, or do her story mode with her husband if you need proof. As a side note Seong Mi-na in the third Soul Calibur also lampshades what she's doing: blade to groin + "bye bye" = *not pleasant.*

@@tsstevensts Geez...Sophitia, i wonder what happened there? I also played the ps2 version which had Heihachi Mishima, and that version felt...weird to play. Heihachi felt pretty crappy to play as. Haven't played the Xbox version though, but that's the one that had Spawn, isn't it? But I'm sure Kasumi probably isn't comfortable sitting on your face, but maybe she's just happy to be there? Sorry, I don't know who Sophitia's husband is, though. And I was definitely thinking that there had to be a lot more embarrassing Soulcalibur character finishers, Seong Mi-na's from SC3 Is most definitely a good contender for the eventual Commenter's Edition of this list,(especially after you just reminded me of it, so thanks for that!), So, what you're saying is, Seong Mi-na either cuts off your manhood, or just stabs you in the groin!? No, that most definitely is NOT pleasant, not at all! Holy Crap! But what if you're playing as Seong Mi-na herself and you use it, or you're playing as a female character, and get hit with her move? Does she still say "bye-bye", or does she just stab you without saying it? Ouch... not really embarrassing to use, but it's probably more embarrassing to get hit WITH, honestly. But, I agree for the most part.

Andy please, Cyrax fatality is clearly a reference to the one of the most manly action movies ever, Predator. you know it, the "get to the chopper" "pushing too many pencils" and "You're one.... *ugly* (expletive)" However is clear that Predator did it after it was defeated, not when it won, at least he got the laugh right. also, it's a great way to inflict psychology damage to your opponent, just do it and drop the controller while Cyrax explodes in a condescending and patronising way of saying "There, I defeated myself for you, we are done playing now". without words.

I would have said Bo Rai Cho in Mortal Kombat Deception. He lights a torch and then holds over his butt as he expels a fart that incinerates the opponent. Then you have Chaos from Primal Rage. Both of his are just, wow. One is a cannonball that he jumps off his opponent to perform but can only be done on 3 stages. The other is that he urinates on the opponent which is apparently corrosive so it melts their skin off.

Can you actually call anything from Injustice a "finishing move"? The cinematic moves don't necessarily end a fight, just do a decent amount of damage. That said, I thought the end of the Flash move is pretty funny. If we can move beyond fighting games for some of these, I'd like to mention how ridiculous some of the finishers got in Warzone after Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War came out, a lot of which weren't even lethal. Two that come to mind are the butt poke that came out with a clown bundle, in which your character simply pokes your opponent in the butt from behind, which finishes them off. Equally as ridiculous is the groin kick, which I think is self explanatory, and just as lethal for some reason.
