There are many different essential oil brands out there but Aura Cacia is one of the most common brands that you'll see at Whole Foods or Sprouts, but does that mean it's the best? Read below to see all the factors to consider.
Top 6 doTERRA VS Aura Cacia Factors To Consider
1.) Service: Free Education AND Personalized Support
doTERRA offers you the opportunity to go with someone that you know, like, and trust be doing your own research which can help you have a more positive and personalized experience.
Aura Cacia just offers an overview of the essential oils on their website and a customer support line like most other companies.
2.) Quality: 3rd Party Tested for Purity AND Safety
doTERRA uses a number of testing such as Organoleptic testing, Microbial testing, Gas chromatography, Mass spectrometry, and a number of other tests to verify quality is beyond organic.
Aura Cacia mentioned that they do sensory evaluation, optical rotation and specific gravity, and gas chromatography (GC) testing for every oil, but that was it.
3.) Quality: Essential Oils Approved for Internal Use
doTERRA allows for internal use and follows the GRAS standard set by the FDA. There will be a supplement facts on the bottle if it is approved for internal use.
Aura Cacia does not allow for internal use of any of their oils for the regular or organic product lines, which is a red flag.
4.) Quality: Verifiable Batch Number on Bottle
doTERRA allows you to test each bottle batch number on Sourcetoyou.com and see a GCMS report to verify the quality claims.
Aura Cacia does not have a way to verify the bottle batch number on the bottle or website at this time to compare the brands apples to apples.
5.) Price: Retail AND Wholesale Options Available
doTERRA offers retail and wholesale options. You can become a retail customer, wholesale customer, or wellness advocate depending on what your health and career goals are.
Aura Cacia just operates from a retail based business model and offers their oils primarily in grocery stores like Whole Foods and Sprouts.
6.) Price: Loyalty Rewards Program Available
doTERRA offers a generous loyalty rewards program where you can get 25-55% off retail, get your shipping reimbursed, and get a free product of the month for any 125 point order.
Aura Cacia allows you to become an Associate member and get a 10% discount and a 5% rebate for a one time charge of $10.
In Summary:
Price is only one factor when considering which essential oil company to go with or stay with. Other factors such as service and quality should be equally rated since all those have an effect on one another and your overall experience in the short term and long term.

I'm going to give doterra a try. I like that I can trust the qaulity enough to use it internally which I plan to use along with using ut in baths.

@@essentialoilsme yes definitely will reach out I want to study and learn these natural god given medicines. I want to become well versed in all of them and learn the science, safe ways to use them. I learned that they are nanoparticles recently thats why they can bypass the blood brain barrier because they are so small. I'll definitely shoot you a email and reach out.

@@markbalogh9655 sounds good and yes EOs nanoparticles can also pass into your cell membranes and affect all the cells in your body within about 20 mins so they can be a very effective health solution!

@@essentialoilsme so I did the freezer test with the Clignatic brand and the freezer test with the CVS brand Arura Cacia and the paper towel test. the CVS brand Froze and made a stain on the White paper. And the Clignatic brand I bought online did not freeze or make a stain on the paper.

Hey Lance, I have to play devils advocate on this one. Aura Cacia is a quality essential oil company. I would put the quality of their essential oils up there with doTERRA. I do agree with them having better education and support, though. But, then again the structure of their business is an MLM. It is important to be able to see the batch number on the bottle, though. But, 3rd party testing both companies have been tested in Dr. Robert Pappas laboratory and both were found to be pure. Meaning, neither one of them had any adulteration at all. True, Aura Cacia isn't as transparent with their testing, but they have been proven to be pure. But, safe for internal use isn't really a pro. When you become a certified aromatherapist you have to take an oath that states you will not encourage the use of essential oils internally. They are very powerful and can do some serious internal damage if not taken correctly. I don't feel this is a pro by any stretch of the imagination. Only Young Living and doTERRA encourage internal use of essential oils. But, price wise you can't be serious in giving doTERRA a full check and Aura Cacia a half check. Aura Cacia's regular price is cheaper than doTERRA wholesale price. How does that even make sense to give them a full check for them in regards to their price? The loyalty rewards program doesn't make sense to me either. If you go to Puritan Pride you get 2 bottles of Aura Cacia for the price of one. Sure, you get rewards points with doTERRA, but the underlining fact is it's still cheaper with Aura Cacia. I have used both of them feel that you're reasoning behind your points is heavily bias because you actively promote doTERRA. Again, I do recommend both companies but I don't stretch my reasoning to damage another companies reputation. Therefore, you should just report the facts rather than just stretching the facts to make doTERRA appear to be so much better than Aura Cacia. Lastly, on a positive note your KZfaq channel is pretty awesome! Lots of great information for people that are interested in learning more about using essential oils!

+MyScentedOils thank you for playing devil's advocate. I hear what you are saying but 1.) Everyone has a "cognitive bias" but not everyone is aware or honest about their own. Google the term and do your own research if you don't believe me. 2.) Your quality and purity claims about AC being the same as DT would need to be back with GCMS testing results and an accurate reading of them to make sure an accurate conclusion could be had. 3.) Internal use and an Aromatherapist recommendation on that was covered in my video here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gLqkdrqHtt_Kd3U.html 4.) Your pricing claims would have to compare retail and wholesale prices of each brand, plant type, and size to come to an accurate conclusion and handling things on a case by case basis would be more objective than overgeneralizing that one is "cheaper" especially since price is only one factor (with quality and service being other two important ones). I would like to point out that this is a totally biased review, heavily skewed towards DoTerra. If you REALLY did your homework and thoroughly researched Doterra, you would see that even though they won their lawsuit against Young Living, BOTH companies had GCMS tests on oils that came back as "Adulterated" or Not Pure! This was presented in court during the trial. So, they were exposed for Fraud. Hmmm! 🤔 Regarding the essential oils being able to be used internally, I feel that it's a shame that you are encouraging that, and think it's a factor worth considering when choosing an essential oil company. It is well known in the EO community that internally ingesting EOs is a dangerous practice and not recommended. Take a look at the medical journals and you will see how many people have been physically harmed by this practice. Their organs will never be the same from the damage! They are worse off now than before taking the EOs internally. Robert Tisserand is an EO expert, well known industry wide and he doesn't even recommend taking EOs internally. The price! Are you kidding me? What the hello kitty is wrong with you??? Please report the facts! DoTerra is a MLM. Their oil prices have always been higher from the jump. They have remained that way, even with the rewards program. I know first hand bcuz I have friends that used to buy and use them. Thank goodness they woke up and stopped the madness! There's an annual fee, you can only buy them thru reps, and you are forced to buy a certain amount of oils a year. This is not a good deal, and you are beholden to the company. I'm sorry but I strongly disagree with you on your conclusion. Aura Cacia is the winner here! And so are a few other companies with Excellent quality EOs like Plant Therapy, Edens Garden, and Rocky Mountain Oils. All of their GCMS reports are third party tested. I didn't even finish watching this video and will not be watching any more from you. You are NOT a reliable source for EOs. I'm glad I did my thorough research before I ran into your YT channel. I have the best quality oils and I didn't have to mortgage my house to be able to afford them! To everyone reading this, GOOGLE is your best friend, and so are heavily researched and published Medical Journals. PLEASE do your own research and don't follow people's opinions blindly.

Since GOOGLE is your "best friend," it would be in your best interest to GOOGLE "cognitive bias" and see how it's showing up in your own language so a more reasonable discussion around the facts can be had 2.) Aura Cacia is right essential oils shouldn't be ingested without professionals approval. Folks who sell it and distributing essentials oils are prohibited from advocating to use essential oils internally.

In my local health food store I purchased some of the USDA organic essential oils by aura cacia. They had an even larger collection but wasn't labeled as USDA organic. Do you know the difference as will the ones not labeled USDA organic still have the healing properties, therapudic benefits, such as doTERRA and Young living?

The body heals itself when it gets what it needs, which is why supporting your body with whole foods, exercise, and other wellness practices that I talk about on my channel are key. No. DoTerra is still way over priced, as with all MLM products they have to be in order to pay commission and bonuses. Quality is good but certainly not better than Florihana and mountain Rose Herbs. I do like a few of DoTerra’s blends though.
