I really liked the organization of this video and the visuals. It was much easier to understand the follicular phase when you drew it out as you explained the process.

I found the graph within this video very helpful! The graph helped me visualize how estrogen is connected with the spike of LH and FSH. Being able to visually see everything made it a lot easier to comprehend.

As I watched the video, I remembered a presentation on fem-tech by one of my classmates. Ovulation-tracking apps have had exponential growth, the women’s health app market is worth billions. Great video, great notes.

Very well explained! After reading a lot of material on this I was honestly quite confused, especially over the "spike" which happens in the FSH. The video clarified in a simple way how/why this happened, as a "trigger". I am impressed to how the subject could be so briefly and informatively explained, thank you!

Great explanation of what happens during follicular phase and how positive feedback is generated! Many hormones are presented, good thing is I can always pause the video and take notes.

I think it is important to continue repeating the hormone secretion pathway so that we can understand how it plays a domino effect in the whole reproductive system. I also like how you draw the same graph from your powerpoint.

This is another video that should be mandatory for sex ed classes as women (and men) aren’t taught about HOW a period actually works. Knowing when a woman is ovulating could help prevent unwanted pregnancies and also aid in fertilization when a couple is having problems getting pregnant.

First explaining how the hypothalamus secretes FSH and LH in two different ways, side by side (graph and drawing) helps me understand how the positive and negative feedback works even better then I did before!

Having the hormones and sex steroids on separate graphs but still next to each other made this easier to comprehend. Also going over the importance of positive feedback in this certain case.

This video helped me understand how the release of FSH and LH contribute to the ovulation production as well as the sex hormones estrogen and progesterone. Reading about ovulation in a textbook can be really hard to follow but diagrams help to explain the changing hormone levels. Thank you! Bio 327-Fall 2019

I learned a lot about the follicular phase of the ovarian cycle I forgot that if LH was too high it would cause negative feedback so that was a good reminder

Very insightful! I didn't know an LH surge was the result of positive feedback. I thought the only positive feedback that existed was when in labor since oxytocin and contractions continuously encourage each other.

BIO 327 2019 The ovarian cycle is one that I found to be somewhat confusing because of all of the hormonal components. However separating the two sections of the follicular and luteal phase. Also learning more about the functions of LH v FSH helped a ton! thank you!

It was kind of hard to see the pink marker when you stood behind it. Also, it would be nice to have a key of the hormones on the side since you abbreviate so many in this video.

It was much clearer when you divided the diagram in half, the top with anterior pituitary and the bottom with the sex hormones.

I think this a difficult topic to understand, but the picture is helpful to understanding the follicular phase. I think this topic could have benefited from a bit of a longer video and more written explanation on the picture, especially when you were discussing the feedback loops.
