I just found out about this GENTLEMEN about a week ago and he is a BEAST and THE TRUTH when it comes to taking on food challenges. You Sir have my respect.

How does it feel to travel half way around the world on a random day do an eating challenge and have a local come up and say your catch phrase and ask for an autograph? That was awesome.

That guy who came up to you asking for an autograph was super cool. That pepper looked like it took a hold of you lmao good work pulling through.

That manager is a true salesman, that is EXACTLY how I would want the manager of my restaurant to explain a sandwich to someone who had a youtube video rolling. EVERYTHING FRESH

A little tip to help with the pepper burn . HONEY ! I live in Tucson Az and most Mexican restaurants sell sopapillas which are a puff pastry you drizzle with honey and it stops the burn and soothes the stomach .

Came here rooting for the Beard but the joy and pride for the food he's prepared was worth watching for alone. Another belter!

I grow my own habaneros and I have never eaten a whole one alone. I usually cut up a whole one and divide it between 4-6 rice, cheese and bean burritos. This guys legend continues to impress me.

Shoutout to all the restaurants you visit but this guy seemed like he LOVED the challenge, like you walking in to try it just made his day. It's nice to see a challenge with a pretty reasonable amount of fries, instead of the fries being 1/2 of the challenge.

As one who loves the heat and especially habanero peppers, using milk or other liquids only spreads the oils faster. The real heat is in the seeds, using some bread for a lightly chewed pepper sandwich might help. I would have saved the fries for after too. Sorry you had to suffer, but another great challenge meats its match!

Love how passionate the chef was about the challenge, and the whole story and everything behind it. It's always fun when they get excited about it, and it's really nice that you keep those little fan interactions in too.

Fun fact: Yoo-hoos don’t have milk in them. They were created when fridges weren’t common, so milk products were hard to keep on shelves in stores during the hot seasons. So it’s creator made a drink that didn’t have dairy in it so it could stay on shelves longer without spoiling. If you look at the label it says “chocolate drink” on the container rather than chocolate milk.

giving a trucker a signature on the back of his receipt is one of the most wholesome things ive ever seen

You know this man was going to conquer this challenge already but the MOMENT he learned his reward was a *hat* his response with “a HAT?!” and that utter look of “oh now Im crushing this challenge, I want that hat” without even having to say it.

As others have said it is nice to see some enthusiasm around the challenges. I often wonder why some places have the challenge on the menu but then seem weird/reluctant when people actually take it on?!

Been binging these videos for days. I notice you love impressing the folks at each restaurant, and thought I'd give you a tip. The way you behave before each challenge ("Do ya think I can eat this whole thing?", primes their expectations. No one wants to be wrong. No one is going to bet against a professional eater, on how much the eater can eat. People will bet when they think they have information that puts the odds in their favor, and everything about your behavior signals that you have information they don't, and are trying to trap them in a bad bet. To get awesome reactions, you need to change the game. They know how massive the food is, and how many people have failed it. Pretend that you DON'T, and that "all you heard is that there was a big sandwich". Be overconfident, and when pressed, say that "you eat more than any of your friends", that "all your friends said you could manage it", or that "you can eat anything." This creates a scenario where the customers believe 1) you have no unique information that is leading you to be confident (e.g., you are overconfident) 2) they have information that you do not (they have seen the food and watched others fail) They will bet against you every time you ask. Even if you don't bet (you seem so nice that you might feel bad taking their money), their reactions when you finish the food will now be what you are hoping for - genuine surprise and excitement.

Always rooting for you beard; definitely this one lol. One time I bought a bag of various peppers at a fruit market and at the bottom of the bag is what I thought was a little bite sized orange bell pepper lol

"Could this video get any more authentic?" Nope, you pretty much nailed that part of Texas. That is it, and folks are proud.

I was at the tank range at Ft Hood TX back in the late 80's when one of the tanks fired Sabot with Heat indexed (means a round that flies straight fired with the gun pointed upwards .. bad mistake) .. we immediately had a FREEZE in place while the Master Gunners went to the tank with a fancy protractor to figure what angle and direction the tank fired .. and they plotted it to Copperas Cove. I gather no one was killed or injured .. but the Cove was not happy.

Another fan got the meet of the year, I'm so envious. That has got to be a great feeling meeting someone you have almost no chance at meeting. Can't imagine how hot that pepper was but that's probably why the bucket came in to play for 1/3 of the people.

That episode of The Simpsons with the big sandwich is one of the best episodes of all time. My favorite line was when he asked Marge for a minute alone with the sandwich and when she asked “are you going to eat it?”, the way he says “yes” always cracks me up. Thanks for reminding me of that and awesome video by the way!! You are a beast!!!

I love how Mr. Beard beats these challenges way before the time limit. I know that habanero pepper was strong but you still did a great job in defeating this challenge w/record time!!

While eating all this would be impossible for us mortals, I think it wasn't much of a challenge for The Beard. We have all seen him eat double the amount of food in 45 minutes or so. Very yummy looking sandwich, I would bring two mates and enjoy sharing it.

You should do a video of a walkthrough or tour of the shirts and hats and other things you've won through challenges through the years and look back at all the fun and trials you've done through the food challenges you've battled 😄😄

The amount the chef said how fresh everything was made me think that is definitely not the norm haha

Great video! I never mess with raw habaneros... Here in California we access to some spicy food! My brother tells a funny story about how he ordered some freshly made habanero sausages and asked for them "extra hot". He said they burned like hell going down but that's not where the story begins. The next day he had to drive to Reno (about six hours) on a business trip. About half way he had the horrible urge to use the restroom. The closest thing he could find was a McDonalds. He said the pain was so horrible, he was shaking and sweating like he was dying. While sitting on the porcelain throne he said at one point he started hallucinating from the pain and pulled all his clothes off in the stall just trying to cool off. He described it as a liquid fire of death... hahaha

That guy was amazing and the food looked incredible to. Really loved how proud he was on his fresh produce and it showed!
