They found a small neglected plot that had been used by young people in Mathare to take drugs and cleared it. Starting with chickens, they then purchased dairy goats and started running the farm as a youth enterprise. As a way of giving back to the society, they gave the vegetables they grew to the most vulnerable in their community. Today, H-town farm is a force to reckon with.
