Just a warning for anyone looking to purchase this NAS. According to the terra-master forum, terra-master has disabled support for ALL third party RAM for this model after the TOS 5 update. They are only allowing their "officially supported" RAM modules that just so happen to cost 4-5 times the price of equivalent third party RAM. I just found this out after purchasing the NAS and think I will have to return it. Third party RAM is usable if you install another OS like TrueNas so they are disabling support in their software.

I am currently using third party RAM in both of my units (422 / 423) and they are both working. And the TOS is on the latest rev. Have you tried using any non-TerraMaster RAM?

@@overclockersclub Yes. I bought 32GB of teamgroup RAM. The system will not boot with TOS 5 but will boot with TrueNAS. I am returning the NAS. There are people complaining all over the Terramaster forum. I am not the only one. People have tried with many brands of RAM at this point. Just tying to make people aware before they waste their time like me.. What RAM are you using?

How you setup the phone app for terramaster.? I have three option on app, and can’t understand what I need to do. 1. User name tick ok 2 Password tick ok 3.TNAS address???? Not idea what’s the last option. I haven’t seen this on my setup for first time , and don’t know what to add here. Any idea and help,I will really appreciate. On my network works ok, on outside networks works ok, just can’t getting work on app Mobile phone, IOS or Android to. If you have a video tutorial with this will be great as well.
