@pterafier, Just recently found your channel but love the content (and outro music)! A few more good tips for new players from someone who recently went from noob to obsessed: --Use damage numbers; I can't tell you how many times I noticed a tame was being attacked on the outskirts of my base just because I saw random numbers popping up. My friends and I also use them to find each other (because maybe it's just us but keeping track of one another is a constant struggle), when one of us is lost the other attacks something so they can see the numbers. Also good to know damage being dealt in general. --Keep a few spike walls on your hotbar early game to throw down as instant cover to kite the Dino into. My server has spikes hurt wild Dinos, but I imagine this would be useful regardless. I went from dying constantly to almost never when I figured this out. --Tame yourself some easy-to-tame Dinos early and don't get too attached, a Dimorphodon or Moschops can usually distract a carnivore long enough for you to escape. Come back stronger and avenge them later, haha. Hope these help someone :)

I think using gamma is more common than uncommon thing to use. Exception will be new players ofcourse. Was massive gamechanger when i got to know it. So many limitations were removed with it. Just remember to set it back down during day times or you face the opposite of darkness

This weekend while playing I: 1: lost 6 Raptors I just tamed including one silver Tek Raptor 2: lost 3 Direwolves including a high level one due to getting stuck and getting ganked by hyenas 3: lost my high level Argy to Direwolves 4: K.O'd a Rex but was to far in the ocean and was drowning 5: lost my 4 Compies I tamed (Think I'm the only one doing that) 6: Misplaced my pack alpha Raptor now I can't find him 7: Died way to many times and more times just trying to get my stuff and Dino's back

Nice vid mate. Im in the same boat as you about nigth time. I even turned gamma way down (to the point where the game still looks good) and turned up the nigth time... I think its like 2-3 hours nigth i have to endure, so every day i Rush to do my shit and get prepped with flares if im gonna do taming etc.

i do gamma on non-dedicated servers because in the end, even if i get jumped by a giga, i have good armor and my dino that i always have on me has a good saddle and high health so he can get out usually so i just save the inconvenience of healing up my dinos, and me, and also repairing my armor

Troodons at Night gave me kinda PTSD ^^' till that i always turn the night time down to the minimum and stay inside (if possible).

I think it smarter to grab a torch than attack if i trodon is nearby (if u didnt know they dont aggro u if u are helding a torch)

I currently spend every night in my small thatch house and I try to get as many narcotics as I can so I can do smth with my time. I finally got a level 22 parasaur but while trying to tame a pteranodon they weren’t on passive and ended up killing it 😩
